Love Begins Here came to a really beautiful end in Plain, and while we were there we recorded our last BOOK CLUB episode with Core Team members Catherine (Freshly Brewed draft winner) and Br. Happy July, y'all! We're so happy to be back with another BOOK CLUB episode reading Secret First by Fr. Joseph Langford together. We're into ILLUMINATION and chatting about ways in which the THIRST of God had transformed St. Mother Teresa's life and thus inspires ours!

Hooray! It's BOOK CLUB SEASON, and we're really excited to kick off our reading of Secret Fire by Fr. Joseph Langford. Nearing the end of the Freshly Brewed season and catechism study, we're devoting a whole episode to Mary, our heavenly mom! Specifically, Meghan and Lindsay talk about the "obedience of faith" and Mary's perfect response to God while we talk over paragraph 148. CCC 148: The Virgin Mary most perfectly embodies the obedience of faith. By faith Mary welcomes the tidings and promise brought by the angel Gabriel, believing that "with God nothing will be impossible" and so giving her assent: "Behold I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word." Elizabeth greeted her: "Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord." It is for this faith that all generations have called Mary blessed.

We're closing in on our Catechism fundamentals this year, and this is the last of the episodes on prayer. Meghan and Lindsay chat about our favorite saints to ask the intercession of and their role as our friends in heaven!

It's time to enter into the life of the mystics like St. John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Avila, as Meghan and Lindsay chat about contemplation. The Catechism is a treasure, and we're chatting about the *foundational* paragraph 2724.
