Magnesium is a mineral used by every organ in your body, especially your heart, muscles, and kidneys. If you suffer from unexplained fatigue or weakness, abnormal heart rhythms or even muscle spasms and eye twitches, low levels of magnesium could be to blame. Most magnesium is stored in your bones and organs, where it is used for many biological functions. Yet, it\'s quite possible to be deficient and not know it, which is why magnesium deficiency has been dubbed the \"invisible deficiency.\" Most people do not think about magnesium when they think about how to prevent chronic disease, but it plays an essential role. For instance, there have been several significant studies about magnesium\'s role in keeping your metabolism running efficiently—specifically in terms of insulin sensitivity, glucose regulation, and protection from type 2 diabetes. Higher magnesium intake reduces the risk of impaired glucose and insulin metabolism and slows progression from pre-diabetes to diabetes in middle-aged America

The gastrointestinal (GI) system is made up of the GI tract plus accessory organs that include salivary glands, pancreas, liver, digestive enzymes and gallbladder. The function of the GI system is to process nutrients and energy from food and fluids that you ingest. In people with GI problems, these functions are impaired. GI conditions include irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn\'s and ulcerative colitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gluten intolerance and SIBO. While many of these conditions have gotten the full attention of mainstream medicine there is a hidden factor in many of their diagnosis that is either unrecognized or dismissed - leaving its victims unable to resolve their digestive conflicts. On tonight\'s radio show we continue our conversation with Dr. Carolyn Dean about Candida albicans, the hidden factor in many of these conditions, and we review how to identify its influences and how to dismiss its dominance in your digestive system.

Candidiasis (yeast overgrowth) is nothing new; it’s been around for decades, ever since we began to use antibiotics in our society. Yeast itself, a cousin to molds, has grown in human bodies since Adam and Eve. Candida albicans is the main yeast in the human body. It lives there happily enough, kept in check by beneficial bacteria in the intestines. These bacteria make vitamins and help digest excess sugar that gets past the small intestine. A very special group of bacteria make lactic acid, which protects the gut and vagina against yeast. Candida is one of the 400 organisms that live in our mouth, digestive tract, vagina and on our skin. Most of the time they all get along with their neighbors. When you begin taking antibiotics, the whole delicate balance is lost. Antibiotics wipe out most of the good and the bad bacteria leaving yeast unharmed. In the absence of any competition, yeast colonies grow into all the empty nooks and crannies of the large intestine and even the small intestine. Sugar from our d

No government agency, university, health clinic or doctor has come close to uncovering and documenting these facts. Consider the 65 magnesium deficiency conditions that Dr. Dean has identified. Do you or your loved ones demonstrate any of the conditions on this list – if so – you may be part of the public currently in crisis. When considering the equation between different nutrients it must be understood that all nutrients work synergistically and require co-factors to be successful in performing their functions in the body. In addition to magnesium, calcium, and vitamin D, Dr. Dean also recommends vitamin K-2 for the metabolism of calcium, ReAline for the absorbable form of vitamin B-6 that works with magnesium, and ReMyte Mineral Solution for the multi-minerals that are require to support vitamin D metabolism as well as inviting potassium and selenium to the party! The fight against back pain and nerve pain can take many forms. Low back pain affects over 35% of American\'s and can be a serious problem for people especially when it comes to lost time from work. Neuropathy has challenges of its own and can be equally debilitating. Speak to most any chiropractor and they will let you know that the structural integrity of the body is key in treating and preventing back and nerve pain. Talk to Dr. Dean and she’ll let you know that structural treatment has its place but will only take you so far if you are magnesium, mineral or nutrient deficient! For example, clinical experience and research in nerve pain conditions such as pancreatic cancer has shown that magnesium can be an effective treatment for pain. Although it is clear why magnesium can decrease muscle pain (it makes muscles relax), why magnesium relieves nerve pain has become equally clear and beneficial for people who suffer from pain. A major mechanism of pain is the excessive stimulation of a brain chemical

Tonight on our internet based radio show, we\'ll be talking with Dr. Carolyn Dean about Atrial Fibrillation and sharing the Good News of how you can get well and live longer along with a wide range of health topics and safe solutions. Magnesium deficiency is at epidemic proportions. The heart has the highest amount of magnesium in the body. If the heart muscles are lacking in magnesium, they can go into spasm causing pain or heart rhythm disturbances. You may not even feel any symptoms but on a routine physical with an EKG your doctor may say, \'Oh, you have atrial fibrillation\'. Magnesium’s role in preventing heart disease and strokes is accepted yet doctors have not gotten up to speed with its use. Magnesium was first shown to be of value in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias in 1935 and since then there have been numerous double-blind studies showing magnesium to be of benefit for many types of arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, ventricular premature contractions, ventricular tachycardia, an

Globally, as of 2015, the International Diabetes Federation, reported an estimated 415 million adults are living with diabetes. Yes, that’s more than the population of the U.S. The incidence of diabetes is increasing rapidly, and by 2030, this number will likely double. Many people live with type 2 diabetes for a long period of time without being aware of their condition. By the time they figure it out the complications of this condition may already be present. One of the signs of diabetes is low magnesium; it’s in all the medical texts but because we never learned about the importance of minerals in medical school, doctors do not routinely test for magnesium. And if they do, they use the wrong test. The serum magnesium test is highly inaccurate. But, luckily you can order your own Magnesium RBC test without a doctor’s prescription online at Request A Test. It’s only $49.00, but you want to have an optimum magnesium level of 6.0-6.5mg/dL. Diabetes damages the kidneys and is the leading cause of kidne

Does your nervous system make you nervous? Or better yet - are you concerned that your nervous system might betray you? Then read on and be prepared to \'revise\' what you\'ve been \'thinking\' about brain function and aging and provide your body with what it needs to keep your brain function high and vital! It turns out you can influence how powerfully and adequately your brain function remains intact throughout your lifetime. For example, physical exercise seems to slow the loss of nerve cells in areas of the brain involved in memory. Such exercise also helps keep the remaining nerve cells functioning. On the other hand, consuming two or more drinks of alcohol a day can speed the decline in brain function. And, using therapeutic, highly absorbed magnesium and mineral supplements have significant implications for health, longevity and cognitive function. In 2011, the University of Adelaide Press published a comprehensive study titled Magnesium and the Central Nervous System. In it the editors pro
