If you don’t have enough magnesium in your body to help keep calcium dissolved, you can develop many symptoms, including muscle spasms, fibromyalgia, neuralgia, calcified arteries, dental cavities, and calcium deposits (including breast tissue calcification). Some researchers equate aging with calcification. A recent study found that elderly women who take calcium supplements and had a history of stroke or white matter lesions (WMLs) may face an increased risk for dementia. And remember, elderly means anyone over 65! Another scenario plays out in the kidneys and bladder. If there is too much calcium in the kidneys and not enough magnesium to dissolve it, you can develop kidney stones. Calcium deposited throughout the bladder can make it rigid, lower its capacity, and lead to frequent urination and leaking. A 2015 study confirms magnesium’s role in dissolving calcium crystals in artery calcification. This study focused on aortic valve calcification at a time when there has been a huge increase in heart valv

Adrenal Fatigue is a stress-related condition that occurs when the adrenal glands, hypothalamus and pituitary gland (together – the HPA axis) are functioning below their optimal level. Although you might not have heard of the adrenals, they perform several vital roles in maintaining your health. Most importantly, they control your body’s response to stress by releasing hormones like cortisol, DHEA and epinephrine, which are used to regulate your heart rate, immune system, energy storage, and more. When the adrenal glands are overstimulated for a long period of time, they begin to weaken. Typical causes of Adrenal Fatigue include long term stress, diet or even prolonged use of antibiotics or pharmaceuticals. Eventually, the adrenals weaken so much that they are unable to respond adequately when we need them. Fortunately, the good news is that Adrenal Fatigue can be corrected with some basic minerals and a change in diet. Tonight, Dr. Carolyn Dean outlines her protocol for adrenal fatigue and thyroid insuff

When considering this equation it must be understood that all these nutrients work synergistically and require co-factors to be successful in performing their functions in the body. In addition to magnesium, calcium, and vitamin D Dr. Dean also recommends vitamin K-2 for the metabolism of calcium, ReAline for the absorbable form of vitamin B-6 that works with magnesium, and ReMyte Mineral Solution for the multi-minerals that are require to support vitamin D metabolism as well as inviting potassium, and selenium to the party!Tonight on our internet based radio show, we\'ll be talking with Dr. Carolyn Dean about Magnesium Supplementation: Getting Your Ratios Right along with a wide range of health topics and safe solutions.

Magnesium plays many important roles in the structure and the function of the human body. The adult human body contains about 25 grams of magnesium. Over 60% of all the magnesium in the body is found in the skeleton, about 27% is found in muscle, 6% to 7% is found in other cells, and less than 1% is found outside of cells. WOW – you might wonder, what is magnesium doing in all those places in the body? Well, it turns out that magnesium is not only producing necessary enzymes and working in the mitochondria to make ATP but magnesium is also magnesium is necessary for protein synthesis at the ribosomal level. The ribosomes are the cellular organelles where proteins are synthesized. Magnesium \\\"activates\\\" the amino acids involved and allows the mRNA to attach to the ribosomes. Magnesium is also found in the nucleus of the cell and is essential for the stability of the nucleic acids RNA and DNA. If DNA and RNA structure do not remain stable you may have mutations in the codes and produce incorrect peptide

I’ve been studying health since my teens, and over the past five decades I’ve developed a very wide overview and perspective on our current health care crisis. Speaking with thousands of patients, clients and callers on my radio show, I’ve identified two clear causes of most health problems. They are Mineral Deficiency and Yeast Overgrowth – and most people suffer from both. Candidiasis, Candida Related Complex, Candida Hypersensitivity and Yeast Allergies are all names for what I call Yeast Overgrowth Syndrome. It’s a condition where yeast has overgrown and outgrown its natural environment in the large intestine and has invaded the small intestine. It is a health threat that remains untreated, mistreated and if it’s ever treated, it’s under treated. I call the protocol that addresses Yeast Overgrowth the Yeast ReSet because a certain amount of yeast is natural to our body and we have to hit the ReSet button to achieve the right balance. A syndrome is a group of symptoms that consistently occur together

The importance of magnesium sufficiency to human health is as readily overlooked today in 2016 as is it was in1980 when magnesium researcher Mildred Seelig wrote her landmark thesis, Magnesium Deficiency in the Pathogenesis of Disease. In this comprehensive book she begins in the life of a fetus and traces magnesium deficiency through its progression from a mild disturbance to an epic factor in human mortality. Our very own Dr. Carolyn Dean has built on the work of Dr. Seelig and has extended her work, so to speak, into the worlds of public education and practical application. And, while it is well-proven by Dr. Dean, Dr. Seelig, and many others that magnesium deficiency, alone and in combination with agents that interfere with its utilization, is associated with functional and structural abnormalities of membranes, cells, organs, and systems that lead to disease and mortality, 80% of American’s remain magnesium deficient. Tonight - we will talk with Dr. Dean about magnesium and the pathways to disease pl

Magnesium deficiency is one of the most overlooked health problems in the western world today. Lack of magnesium mimics a host of health problems such as atrial fibrillation, fibromyalgia, back pain, insomnia, RLS and can be a major factor in mental health concerns like anxiety, Alzheimer\'s and depression. One of the little known reasons that magnesium deficiency causes such a variety of health issues is that this ‘Master Nutrient’ is utilized as an enzyme by a multitude of nutrients in a variety of cellular processes. Magnesium is such an important nutrient that taking it by itself, in many cases, actually raises blood levels of calcium, potassium and vitamin D. Unlike drugs, nutrients require a complex array of substances in order to work properly; one of the best examples of this phenomenon is calcium. Women in western countries have some of the highest rates of osteoporosis despite having the highest calcium intakes in the world; while their Peruvian and Japanese sisters, who get far less calcium but p
