In a recent blog by an author of a book on Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis said the following: “Most patients with Hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism will have weight gain, acid reflux, nutrient deficiencies, anemia, leaky gut, food allergies and adrenal insufficiency. Symptoms of impaired digestion, absorption, anxiety, chronic-fatigue and environmental allergies may be seen as well. While conventional medicine only looks at each body system as a separate category, and isn’t concerned with the thyroid’s ability to produce thyroid hormone, Hashimoto’s is more than just hypothyroidism.” What Dr. Dean wants to make clear is that these symptoms are not all about the thyroid at all. The underlying cause of Hashimoto’s is likely yeast overgrowth and mineral deficiency. To say it’s all about the thyroid is a huge distraction and avoids healing the underlying cause. This topic is very important and it’s why Dr. Dean is writing a booklet about it to remind people to keep digging for the root cause of their problems.

Our increasing reliance on prescription medications has contributed to the growing problem with nutrient depletion. The truth is that every medication, including over-the-counter drugs, depletes your body of specific, vital nutrients. This is especially concerning when you consider that most Americans are already suffering from nutrient depletion and many of the conditions physicians see in their everyday practice may actually be related to nutrient depletion to begin with. Most every day our customer service representatives talk with customers who are interested in our products because they have read The Magnesium Miracle or Invisible Minerals Part I and II and they are starting to figure out that their fatigue, anxiety, depression, insomnia or heart palpitations are related to nutrient deficiencies. Tonight on Live with Dr Carolyn Dean we have a great show and great content talking about how to balance the use of pharmaceutical medicines with a powerful protocol of minerals and amino acids plus much m

Elderly people in the United States represent an emerging high risk group for nutritional deficiencies. A magnesium deficit in the elderly can occur due to inadequate nutrient intakes, multiple drug use, altered gastrointestinal function and/or frequent urination. Magnesium has been targeted as a risk factor for elderly people and has been implicated in the aging process. Aging in our industrialized society is associated with high blood pressure, heart disease, reduced insulin sensitivity and Type 2 diabetes, among other degenerative diseases. Most of us don\'t know that aging is also associated with an imbalance in the levels of calcium and magnesium and dozens of other minerals almost identical with those found in people with heart disease and diabetes. Clinical studies thoroughly document the fact that people with insulin resistance (a characteristic of Type 2 diabetes) have too much calcium and too little magnesium in their cells. Interestingly, these same effects are seen as the results of \"normal\"

It\\\'s no secret that there are many ways to heal the body and the mind. There is the physical approach, the spiritual approach, and the mental approach. Holistic healing includes the body, mind and the non-physical. Magnesium deficiency is very common in people with heart disease. In hospitals where doctors understand the important of magnesium, it is administered for acute myocardial infarction and cardiac arrhythmia. Like any other muscle, the heart requires magnesium. Magnesium is also used to treat angina, or chest pain. The epidemic of heart disease in women may have its origins in the excessive intake of medically prescribed calcium. In fact, several studies in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) recently proved that very thing. Women who take calcium supplements have a higher risk of heart disease as calcium deposits in their arteries. When heart muscle cells have too much calcium on the inside, they can go into a life-threatening spasm that we call “heart attack”. When they have enough magnesium, the heart muscle cells relax. Tonight learn all about magnesium and much more on Live with Dr. Carolyn Dean

Good and poor health is determined at the level of the millions of cells making up the human body. Magnesium, vitamins, amino acids and minerals are needed for the thousands of biochemical reactions taking place in each cell and chronic deficiency of these nutrients is the most frequent cause of cellular dysfunction. Replenishing these cells with essential nutrients supports their energy production and leads to optimal health. However, without adequate supplementation, the normal functioning of cells will eventually become impaired, resulting in poor health. Perhaps this information is not new to you and yet you are still not experiencing the health and well being you’ve been dreaming of. Perhaps in spite of your best intentions and well-placed efforts, today’s compromised environments of food, air and water [the things we all need to live] may not be delivering the proper nutrients you require for sustained and vital living. Fortunately, many of today’s complex health issues can be alleviated or eliminated w

Magnesium is a crucially important mineral for optimal health, performing a wide array of biological functions, including but not limited to activating muscles and nerves, creating energy in your body by activating adenosine triphosphate (ATP), helping digest proteins, carbohydrates and fats, serving as a building block for RNA and DNA synthesis and acting as a precursor for neurotransmitters like serotonin. Few people get enough magnesium in their diet these days. Meanwhile, calcium tends to be over-utilized and taken in high quantities. This can cause more harm than good, as it\\\'s very important to have a proper balance between these two minerals. In December 2013 and again in January, 2015 Dr. Mercola of Mercola.com wrote and published this information in two separate articles that are some of the most widely circulated Mercola articles to date. While these articles are accurate in many terms, they also requires a bit of updating – especially the section of the article that features a comparison of ma

Let’s talk about magnesium and nerve function. If you don’t have enough magnesium or if there is too much calcium, your muscles and nerves suffer. Since most doctors don’t know the simple physiology of muscles and nerves they never consider magnesium deficiency in their diagnoses. Just this week we received an email from a customer who was convinced of a diagnosis of neuralgia and even related the diagnosis to a herpes virus or compromised cerebrospinal fluid. Neuralgia can be any nerve in the body being inflamed - and the ultimate cause of inflammation is magnesium deficiency. Through her own admission, the customer said so many of her other symptoms have gone away and she is so much better on the formulas but a lack of patience and Viral Googilities drove her to ‘find’ a ‘reason’ for the last little bit of muscle and nerve function symptom she is experiencing and neuralgia is what she came up with.
