Watching My Stories

This week was a very long week in real life... and it appears that this spilled over into the things that Dhani watched as well.  This episode might seem too political for some listeners, but Dhani really feels that people can learn from TV and Movies, so please listen and make your decision about watching these things.   First, Dhani saw The Hate U Give.  This is a harrowing story about a cop shooting a young, unarmed, black teen.  While we have seen this story in real life way too many times, the movie talks about very important pieces to such a complicated situation.  This is a movie that every person, and especially all young people should watch.   Next, Dhani watched the Netflix special, John Leguizamo's Lating History for Morons.  She learned so much about the Latino history that has been wiped from our textbooks or culture.  This is a very informative, but very funny show that everyone can enjoy.  John Leguizamo is a fantastic teacher and storyteller.   Switching now to TV, Dhani touches on The Purge t
