Boss Mom

Last week on the Country Mom podcast, a special someone in our babies' lives finally came home, and we were juggling all last week to plan a big event, our toddler's two-year-old birthday party. No one ever tells you how stressful planning birthday parties are.

Last week on the Country Mom podcast, I was officially back at work from maternity leave. We also are talking about how our lives went from 5 mph to 100 with juggling work, swimming lessons, doctor's appts, tongue-ties and more! Mamas, you can relate.

and it's SLEEP! We are so very happy to our have our boys home finally (one at the end of April & one in May). Yes, it's been a while since we did a podcast! We have major updates about the twins, and my podcast even has a new name, Country Mom!

In another episode of the 'Boss Mom' podcast, my husband joins me again to talk about our NICU journey so far. As you may already know, the twins are here (born 3/2/19), but this week they accomplished something big! This step that they achieved is a part of being one step closer to coming home.

Our St. Jude Radiothon was last week. You may have heard Madelyn's story on the air. Madelyn lost her brother to Hodgkin's lymphoma almost five years ago. Before he passed away, Madelyn and her family got to spend 18 months with him at St. Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis. Madelyn's story will leave you at a loss for words.

This week on the boss mom podcast: Since having a child, we are always sick. My husband rarely gets sick but stays sick now. Our son, Colston, went on a field trip with his daycare and my husband noticed a trend all of the parents were doing. Mom tips are needed as well! Our boy is now 18-months-old and still says "dada", and that's about it. Tips on how to get our little guy to chatter words more?

My husband has been recently picking up our boy and swinging him. Bad thing is, he doesn't want dada to stop. Another thing our boy has picked over the past couple of months is spitting his milk out. He will spit it out then play in it. If you have a mom hack for this one, we'd love to hear it!

In this week's podcast, my husband joins me for another podcast which we have renamed 'Boss Mom' because like many of you, I am juggling work, motherhood and being a wife. How do I do it all? Like you do! I just do it. --- Since the last podcast, we had unexpected news take place around the holidays, we lost Scott's mother (my baby boy's grandmother). We discuss how we are getting through it and how we are getting through the new year.
