Below The Bonnet With David Reynolds And Michael Caruso

The shrinking violet (cough) that is Tony Cochrane joins to lads to explain his journey from a school drop-out running a lighting business in Adelaide to the godfather of modern Supercars racing. What (and who) forced him out? What would he do to improve the sport right now? And which press conference line does he admit made him look like a goose?  

Greg Murphy. The man who missed a gear and still set the original Lap of the Gods. The undisputed King of Pukekohe. The fierce competitor that made the likes of Skaife and Ambrose sweat. But how does he go in a Mustang convertible in the snow? Well, you'll just have to listen to find out...  

Oh boy. In hindsight, having the Below the Bonnet Christmas party before recording was a bad idea. It did make for some fun banter, though, with the boys chatting about a wide range of topics including water-cooled brakes, Koala anatomy, and Willy and The Juice.

With the seriousness of Bathurst behind us, it's back to a bit of light-hearted banter from the boys. They unpack a car-destroying Gold Coast, look forward to a title-deciding Sandown 500 (for the co-drivers, that is) and Reynolds reveals the bizarre origin story of his new road safety initiative.

The 2019 Bathurst 1000 is here and the boys are pumped. In the lead-up to the big dance they analyse the form, talk through some of the big changes, and answer the age old question – would you rather win Bathurst or lotto?  

Hmmm, what to talk about this week? The lads bicker about the latest wave of aero changes, rib 'Decade Dave' about his new deal, and do their very best to try and work out WTF actually happened last Sunday afternoon.

Ryan Walkinshaw joins the pod to talk about internet trolls, his former life as a DJ, living in Monaco, the time he met Reynolds as a work experience kid and just a little bit of aero parity.
