Values helps solve perplexing problems, keep the company moving in the right direction, and keep policies from become bureaucratic. Business practices must align with company values, this keeps inconsistency at bay. Why are values important? We want to believe that our work is important and our work is making a differences to others. No one can be very motivated if they genuinely believe that what they are doing is worthless or violates their fundamental values.
