Bonsai Stuff

Are there hard and fast rules for bonsai? Why not? Whether it's styling, timing, the soil we use or how we water, why cannot we just set some standards and stick to them? Easy, because we all have a completely unique environment. And I've got an idea for future bonsai shows, a sort of continuity and link to the past.
