Havoc Radio

A man, dressed in blue collar working clothes, walks slowly in the twilight – after a long day’s toil, through the semi constructed skeleton of a steel framed building.  This site is large and slated to be a hub of technological advancement when completed.  All this washes over him as he trudges wearily through numerous puddles from the recent rain, thinking only of taking the load off his feat and removing his boots in front of a modest fire.  If he were not so weary, he may have noticed the strange skittering sounds coming from his left, amongst crates and stacks of building materials, ready to be used by tomorrow’s shift. He wipes his calloused hands against his stained dark blue overalls, then turning his collar up against the misty rain, he makes towards the river end of the site, completely missing the slim shadowy figure lurking there. Too late, he realises he’s not alone, as the chittering sound raises to a crescendo, almost deafening him, while a shadowy arm slices through the twilight and the innoce
