But it was just as instructive. As a Tory, Shaun is the best-placed candidate to beat Sadiq Khan in London’s mayoral election on May 6th 2021. But what chance does he have? He’s not particularly well-resourced by his party which means it’s more down to him to drive his own campaign. But as you’ll hear, he counts himself as a characteristic London “hustler”, insisting his town is not necessarily a Labour city. He makes an impression with his honesty, but is he too unguarded to be a unifying London politician?
