Labour MP for Birmingham Yardley since 2015, Jess Phillips has never shied away from controversy nor has she been afraid to veer away from Labour Party lines to uphold her political principles. Following Labour’s recent election win, Phillips is Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Safeguarding) at the Home Office.
