Safety is a top priority for Atlas Copco, regardless whether it is about customers operating the machines, service technicians driving in dangerous terrain, or manufacturing employees handling heavy equipment. Safety takes many forms, and to get a specific example we talked, in December 2016, to David Bianco, Safety Manager at Atlas Copco’s manufacturing plant in Garland, Texas, USA, where large surface mining equipment is being produced. David Bianco and his colleagues have a successful approach to safety that involves encouraging everyone to truly enjoy being fully aware of safety and potential risks.
