Training for ultras is hard. All those long runs and hours spent on trails trying to build endurance and maintain your conditioning. Now imagine having to do that in a war zone. Instead of miles of trails you can run on, you have to train by running a km loop around a dusty compound in searing heat. Or you only have access to a treadmill in a dark, lonely gym. A veteran of some of the world's most infamous ultras including the Tour des Geants and Barkley Marathons.
