Chillin With Deke

You'll hear the context for this podcast early in the episode but I'll share a little now. Steve is a great friend and mentor of mine. We met at my church, Freedom Life Center, a few years ago but became close friends on a youth retreat. I remember jamming out to some Alice and Chains, talking over dinner, and playing some acoustic guitar. Honestly though, I don't exactly remember too much he told me on this retreat. But I do remember him offering to meet up and help me anytime I needed it. Here I was a 22/23 yr old just starting a job and not knowing to much about anything in life. When an older dude that looks successful, confident and dope personality offers you that, it doesn't make much sense to pass it up. So yeah I took Steve up on the offer and met him at Coffee Tree Roasters one of the following weeks. Ever since, he's been looking out and trying to guide me in the right direction.
