The monsoon in India traditionally covers nearly two-thirds of India by mid-June. This year, however, it was delayed by 15 days. This led to a delay in the sowing of kharif crop in many areas and to crops facing moisture stress due to the lack of rainfall. Shiva Mudgil joins Oscar Tjakra to talk about the progress of India’s 2019 monsoon and how it impacts soybeans crops and the dairy industry in India.
