That Vet Life

Maaike is a wildlife veterinarian working in Namibia. Though it presents its challenges, there is no job she would rather be doing and the excitement she has for it is absolutely clear. In today's episode, Maaike shares her personal experiences of working as a wildlife vet. Additionally she talks about her passion project of working to stop animal poaching and the role vets play in working with the local communities to not only protect their  livestock which is their livelihood, but the wild animals around them. I had such a fun time talking with Maaike and learned more about wildlife veterinary medicine in the process.
