In the portion of the ancient Jewish temple called the Treasury, stood a colonnade that hung many lamps, which lit the entire city of Jerusalem with their brilliant light at night. It was at the end of the Festival of Shelters, that Jesus stood among these lamps and declared, "I am the LIGHT of the world. All who come to me will not be in darkness."
