Journalist Emil Wilbekin's name is synonymous with pop culture. A way of life he's been mining personally since his Cincinnati childhood where he once obsessed over magazines to his career working at some of the best periodicals in circulation. A celebrated dozen years at Vibe magazine culminated with his role as editor-in-chief in 2004 plus a National Magazine Award for the urban lifestyle magazine two years earlier. Emil has also helmed successful editorial stints at Essence, Giant and Marc Ecko's Complex.
