I’ve gone down the rabbit hole around darkness retreats. Aubrey Marcus has a video on YouTube called finding love in the darkness. He spends about two hours talking about his experience on a six day darkness retreat and a quarter later with the heroes journey. It’s a great interview and tons of insight. It’s interesting how many ancient practices are geared towards going within. But not just to look at the light in God but also in finding the darkness within us as well.
