I'm Katie Strong, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and Director of the Strong Story Lab at Central Michigan University and serving as today’s episode host. Today I’m talking with Dr. Sameer  Ashaie from the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab. Before we get into our conversation, Let me tell you a bit about our guest.        Dr. Ashaie is a Research Scientist in the Think and Speak Lab at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University.  He earned is PhD in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at the Graduate Centre, CUNY.  He is recipient of the 2022 Tavistock Trust for Aphasia Distinguished Scholar Award.
