Entitled To Miracles! W/rev. Deb Phelps

Here in the world we are bound to make mistakes or missteps. We can feel guilty for just about everything and anything. It's the guilt pervading our mind that keeps us separate from God. But now, together, we can forgive our guilt and practice self-forgiveness. Rev. Deb gives an exercise in this episode, using her own personal experience as an example. As it says in ACIM, "Others will make mistakes and so will you, as long as this illusion of a world appears to be your home."

Who, What, Where, When, and Why-a good detective tries to determine these in a situation. However, when we approach situations, too many times we get focused on the "Why" and we begin to write stories to fill in the gaps to the information. Sometimes we automatically assign a motivation to a friend or family member. These stories we write are based on fear and come from the past. We have such a strong desire to figure it all out because the unknown is terrifying to us. Instead, we make up a story and proceed to analyze it accordingly. Today, we'll stick to just the facts! As it says in ACIM, "Perhaps it will be helpful to remember that no one can be angry at a fact. It is always an interpretation that gives rise to negative emotions ..."

With "have-to" language, it absolves us from personal responsibility. It makes us a victim of the world, or other people, or of our circumstances. We can learn that there is no force here in the world that can make us do anything. There is always a choice. Once you acknowledge you have a choice, then you can come from a place of empowerment. As it says in ACIM, "... where you made a faulty choice before you now can make a better one, and thus escape all pain that what you chose before has brought to you."

There are many situations that arise in our lives where we cannot seem to just let them be! We want other people (partners, children, family members, and so on) to be different. We want ourselves to be different. We want the past and current events to be different. Yet, if we can allow things to be exactly as they are with no judgment, forgiveness, and love, we will find the serenity we seek. As it says in ACIM, "It is a situation of perfect peace, simply because you have let it be what it is."

It's no secret that we all desire a connection to our Inner Wisdom with Holy Spirit. We think, though, it is a secret in how to begin and maintain a connection with the Voice for God. Holy Spirit's Voice comes in a myriad of ways. We can learn how the Holy Spirit communicates with us in a way we can personally understand. Yes, indeed! Hearing His Voice is not just for "special" or "gifted" people. Anyone can hear His Voice. There is no specialized training or credentials. It only takes your willingness! As it says in A Course in Miracles, "And this willingness opens your ears to the Voice of the Holy Spirit Whose message is wholeness."

Meditation is a way of getting in touch with your True Self. You may not be accustomed to having a relationship with this aspect of yourself. You may be afraid of stillness without even realizing it. Have you noticed yourself in a conversation-if there is a pause in the conversation that one of you has to fill up the space with some words, even if it's only about the weather? How often to you say you'll take time to meditate but instead find yourself watching TV, looking at your texts, or checking for email or Facebook posts? Let's learn together to embrace the Silence. Whether you meditate or not, you may learn something new in this week's show. As it says in A Course in Miracles, "Learn to be quiet in the midst of turmoil, for quietness is the end of strife and this is the journey to peace."

We easily get wrapped up in the latest stories and dramas of our lives and the lives of others. In fact, most times we relish in it! Now's the time to abdicate the Drama Queen's (or King's) throne and realize that you are no longer the victim of the world. It has not been a throne for the Child of God, but a dungeon. By your choice, you can use the power within you to direct your mind to God and open to His Thoughts of love, peace, and joy and experience heaven. Are you ready to practice everything that will lead you to Love?

In this premiere episode, Rev. Deb shares an important truth about you-You Are Entitled to Miracles! This also means you are entitled to peace, love, and happiness in your life. Many claim they desire a peaceful life but often find they aren't willing or don't know how to do what is actually needed to experience one. Through practical application of the principles taught within A Course in Miracles, Rev. Deb has changed her life from one of tragedy to one of peace, and you can too. Together we will declare our intention for change, invoke the abundance of miracles within us, and begin to experience amazing blessings in our lives.
