WVU PxP voice Tony Caridi joined the show. Tony gave us the skinny on Zach Frazier and said he would take 12 of them for your team. He said he’s the absolute perfect fit for the Steelers. Tony talked about Zach starting with an NFL team right out of the gate. Tony said Zach has an advantage with leverage due to his wrestling background, where he was a multi-time state champion in West Virginia. Tony painted a picture of how tough Frazier is and why he’s someone that really leads by example. Tony went through the broken leg Frazier suffered and the amazing feat he was still able to pull on the same play. He made it sound like Frazier is an all business player and whoever drafts him will not regret it. 

The Pirates are 4-0 coming off a road sweep of the Marlins. What were some of the big takeaways of the weekend? Are we ready to bump up our season predictions? The debut of Jared Jones stole the show on Saturday, and the Pirates stole 2 games of the series.

BREAKING NEWS: The Pirates have traded JT Brubaker to the Yankees. We reacted to the Pirates wild win in Miami to open the 2024 season.  Steelers insider Brian Batko from the PG joined the show. Brian professed his love for Peeps and says they are the best Easter candy. Are the Steelers really comfortable with Dan Moore or is that a smokescreen? Brian explained the reason why the Steelers are bringing Michael Penix in for a pre-draft visit. Chris asked Brian if the Steelers will seriously consider WR at 20th overall. Are the Steelers pigeonholing themselves at center? Brian noted the Chiefs signing a rugby player and if the Steelers should try doing something similar.  PM Team Clearing House.

Jared talked about the experience of making the team’s Opening Day roster despite zero MLB playing time – the first Pirate to do so since Kris Benson in 1999. Jared talked about calling his dad as the first phone call after getting word he would be on the big-league club out of camp. A funny story about Jared throwing a perfect game in high school when almost every pitch was a fastball. Jared said he will not crack a smile out on the mound, but he might do so after the game – depending on how it went. Jared got into how he some guys push each other, including Paul Skenes. Hour 4: Will the Steelers draft a tackle in the 1st round for the second straight year? Amarius Mims was in for a visit today. Could the Steelers pair him with Broderick Jones for the next decade? Jeff was at the Pitt pro day today and gave a recap of what he saw. Jeff commented on the Cordarrelle Patterson signing and what he can bring to the kick return game along with the offense.
