  • The Blues strike the Lightning down at Enterprise Center for a 4-3 home win.

    The Blues took a 3-0 lead in the first period. Only to see it get chipped away by two Lightning goals in the second period. Schenn would give the Blues a two goal lead late in the second period. Steven Stamkos inched Tampa back in to it with an early third period goal, but the Blues held on for the win.

  • The Blues get their second win in a row on this home stand by beating the Red Wings 5-2.

    The Blues and Wings were once one of the best rivalries in the NHL. Until the league decided to move the Red Wings to the Eastern Conference. Since then the Blues have seen the playoffs on a more regular basis then the Red Wings. This game would not have the excitememt of the old rivalry, but it was a fun competitive game to watch. The Blues would take a commanding 3-1 lead out of the second period on two second period goals by forward Ivan Barbashev. The Wings would get within one, early in the third period, on Thomas Vanek's 2nd goal of the game. However, Pat Maroon would make it 4-2 and then Ivan Barbashev would seal the win with an empty net goal, his third of the game, to give the Blues a 5-2 win.

  • The Blues explode against the Oilers in a 7-2 home win.

    The Blues strong defense allows only 17 shots and the offense is lead by Jaden Schwartz with 3 goals and David Perron's 2 goals. The Blues jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second period, but the Oilers came back late in the period with 2 goals of their own. The Blues would not let up and scored 3 more goals in the third period for the 7-2 win.

    After beating the Penguins on the previous day 5-1 on the road the Blues were looking for back to back wins. The Sabres lead 3-1 until around  12 minutes in to the second when David Perron made it a one goal game with his 18th goal of the year. The Blues would eventually tie it in the third on a goal by Brayden Schenn, but could not win the shootout and fall 4-3.

  • The Blues scoring drought ends in Pittsburgh as they beat the Penguins 5-1

    Coming in to this game the Blues had only put the puck in the net 3 times and lost all three previous games. This game would be much different. The Blues scored twice in the first period on goals by Oskar Sundqvist and Vince Dunn. Their offfensive breakout continued in the second period with goals by Pat Marron and Jay Bouwmeester. The Penguins would get on the scoreboard on a goal by Dominik Simon just under 14 minutes in to the period. Vince Dunn would complete the games scoring with his 11th of the year and second goal of the night to give the Blues a huge 5-1 road win.

  • The Blues inability to score still continues in a 2-0 loss to the Senators

    The Blues continue to get great efforts from goalies Jake Allen and Jordan Binnington. However, their offense has went to sleep in the last 2 games. They have put 75 shots on net in the two losses, but are also missing the net, not getting rebounds, and continue to not put bodies in front of opposing goaltenders. The Senators goals were scored by Chris Tierney and Christian Wolanin. Lance ends the poidcast discussing the impact of the Tarasenko and Perron injuries. Plue the lack of opportunities and playing time for Jordan Kyrou.

  • The Blues out play the Coyotes, but fall 3-1.

    The Blues would lose to the Coyotes due to mistakes and the lack of shooting the puck well. They did put 40 shots on Coyotes goalie Kuemper, but were missing the net and getting shots blocked througout the night.

  • The Blues come back to tie it 2-2, but lose in overtime to the Sharks.

    The Blues took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period on a goal by Pat Maroon. However, the Sharks would get two goals late in the first by Timo Meier to take a  one goal lead in to the second period. Brayden Schenn's late second period goal knotted the game up at 2-2. The Sharks would pepper Blues goalie Jake Allen with 15 shots in the third, but he stood strong and helped the Blues get to overtime. The Sharks would get the overtime game winner by Kevin Lebanc.

  • The Blues beat the Kings behind Jake Allen stopping all 28 Kings shots.

    The Blues had lost two in a row before playing the kings on Thursday night in Los Angeles. One of those losses was to the Hurricanes in which goalie Jake Allen allowed 4 goals on 23 shots. He was looking to get back on track against the Kings and he would not dissapoint. Jake stopped all 28 shots by the Kings in the 4-0 win. The Blues four goals were scored by Vladimir Tarasenko, Tyler Bozak, Ryan O'Reilly, and Ivan Barbashev.

  • The Blues allow three unanswered goals, but score two late goals to drown the Ducks 5-4

    The Blues came in to this game losers of their last two games. In those two loses they allowed 9 goals and could only muster two goals of their own. The Blues would take a 3-1 lead over the Ducks early in the second period on a goal by Robert Thomas. Costly mistakes and hard work by the Ducks allowed them to get ahead of the Blues 4-3 with just over two minutes left in the game. However, the Blues would get two late goals from Robert Thomas and Alex Pietrangelo to get a come from behind 5-4 win.

  • The Blues fall to the Stars 4-1 at home for their second loss in two nights.

    The month of March has not been kind to the Blues. With this loss to the Stars the Blues are now 0-2 this month. The Stars were lead by Jamie Benn who recorded a hat trick and goalie Ben Bishop who only allowed one goal in the win. 

  • The Blues start out the month of March with a 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

    Lance opens the show discussing the troubles with the Ottawa Senators and the treatment of John Tavares in his return to play his old team the New York Islanders. He then breaks down the Blues game against the Hurricanes, their scoring struggles, and Jake Allen's play in this 5-2 loss.

  • Jordan Binnnington gets the shutout as the Blues defense hold the Predators to just 19 shots on goal in a 2-0 win.

    The Blues and Predators game was a very physical tilt from the drop of the puck. The Blues defense was strong in their own end and when goalie Jordan Binnington was tested he came up big in net. Predators goalie Juuse Saros was peppered with 44 shots and did not allow a goal until 12 minutes and 35 seconds in to the third period by Blues forward Tyler Bozak. The Blues would round out the scoring with a late power play goal in to an empty net by Alex Pietrangelo for the 2-0 home win.

  • The Blues lose in overtime to the wild 2-1.

    The Blues offense went to sleep for most of this game. While Jake Allen stood tall by only allowing one goal in regulation. Alex Pietrangelo would tie the game in the third period to push the game to overtime. In overtime the newly traded Ryan Donato put a shot passed Allen for the 2-1 win.

  • Sammy Blais gets the shoot out winner to beat the Bruins 2-1.

    The Blues locker room was hit by the flu bug this week. They had to shuffle their lineup for this game against the Bruins. The Bruins came in to this game winners of their last seven games. Which included four staright wins on the road. Tukka Rask and Jordan Binnington played strong in goal. The game would be decided on a shoot out goal by Sammy Blais.

  • The Blues 11 game winning streak ends in Dallas with a 5-2 loss to the Stars.

    The Blues and Stars came out of the first period with neither team scoring. That would all end in the second period when the Stars took a 3-0 lead over the Blues with just under ten minutes left in the period. The Blues tried to fight back by adding two goals in the second, but lost to the Stars 5-2.

  • The Blues give up a two goal lead to the Maple Leafs, but win in overtime 3-2

    The Blues came out flying in the first period against the Maple Leafs and were rewarded for their efforts with two goals. Blues forward Jaden Schwartz put the Blues up 1-0 and defensemen Colton Parayko added a late power play goal to round out the scoring in the first period. The Leafs battled in the second period, but Jordan Binnington made several key saves to keep it at 2-0 headed out of the second period. The Leafs would tie the game up in the third on goals by Zach Hyman and Austin Matthews.  Blues forward Ryan O'Reilly didn't waste any time in giving the Blues a win with a goal just thirty four seconds in to the overtime period.

  • Another shutout win on the road for the Blues.

    The Blues Jordan Binnington gets another shutout in this 4-0 road win against the Wild. The Blues power play came alive in the first with goals from Vladimir Tarasenko and Ryan O'Reilly. The second period would echo the first with two more goals from the Blues. One by Vince Dunn and the other by Brayden Schenn. The Wild would get three power play opportunities in the third period, but Binnington and the Blues defense stood strong.
