This week on Main Menu we take a tour, Autour to be exact with Jeremy Cooperstock of McGill University. Autour is a unique GPS app for iOS that gives blind people a very interesting view of their surroundings. Then we say hello to Jason's new little friend the Amazon Echo Dot! Main Menu will be moving to a bi-weekly schedule after this fun filled show. This allows your team to bring you timely topics, exciting content and fewer reruns!

This week we get comfortable at Home. Google Home that is. Randy and Jason talk with Joe Steincamp about the newly released Google Home and much more, because that's what friends do, right? Right. You won't want to miss their conversation!

This week on Main Menu we start a series of interviews with people in the blindness community about their experiences with technology. Many of us know Dr. Robert Carter as "The Tech doctor" of podcast fame but Robert has been working with technology for many years and along with his job as a psychologist, he is very enthusiastic about the role technology can play in our lives. From the Apple Watch to braille, early office and academic technology to podcasting notoriety, we'll discuss it all!

This week on Main Menu we bring you the latest information from the folks at Microsoft Corporation all about the new Windows 10 anniversary update coming next week to a computer near you. Narrator, the screen reader built-in to Windows 10 is the main focus of our discussion this week and we brought a number of technology experts direct from Microsoft and elsewhere to talk all about it. The following Microsoft engineers joined us on the show from the Windows 10 Narrator accessibility team: Brett Humphrey, Kelly Ford and Dan Hubbell. In addition, Joe Steinkamp joined us from the Blind Bargains site as a technology expert on Windows 10. Microsoft has been hard at work on significantly enhancing Narrator with new voices, performance improvements, a new scan mode, new verbosity settings and so much more. We ask Microsoft questions about the upgrade experience for Windows users and we even dive into the positioning of Narrator as a viable commercial screen reader.
