A Sunday chats special! Bob Hoskins takes a seat on the sidelines but we have a new segment: Matt calls the Nintendo Hotline! Whimsy abounds in this one.. Actually possibly too much whimsy, but we hope you enjoy our 10th episode of Console Yourself as much as we enjoyed recording it. Project Scorpio, AFL Evolution, The Nintendo Switch, Dark Souls 3, Star Wars Battlefront 2, all this and more! Just don't expect well researched facts (hey, we can't do it all!)

HIT-POINTS returns to the Console Yourself podcast with a two hour discussion of the sci-fi masterpiece Mass Effect 2. Matt and Tom discuss the development of the game before delving into the characters that populate these masterfully woven worlds. Geth, Krogans, Shadow Brokers, Human Reapers, assassins, warlords and Overlords: they and many more all get airtime as the enormity of this game tries to squish within a two hour podcast.

What did the people want? More Bob Hoskins. What did the people get?.. Well, you'll have to tune in to listen to our new segment! Apart from that borderline slanderous impersonation, Matt and Tom also chat about Tom's continuing journey through the unenthusiastically received Mass Effect Andromeda, (spoiler alert: he's still enjoying it, but goes over a few of the quibbles he's encountering). Join us in this chats mini and prepare yourself for next week, when HIT-POINTS returns to talk about Mass Effect 2 (the best one).

All Matt wanted was a Nintendo Switch, but what he got in return was a CONSPIRACY! Also Tom's finally got his mitts on Mass Effect Andromeda and tells us what he thinks of the first two or so hours (spoiler alert, he enjoyed them). Matt and Tom also have chats about the flip-flopping ratings board in Australia and their wielding of the ban-hammer and then almost immediately the un-ban-hammer in regards to Outlast II. They also bring up Yooka Laylee, Rain World and (somehow) MacBat 64. Whimsy abounds!

The original Xbox launched in Australia on the 14th of March 2002. In honour of it's 15th anniversary Matt and Tom dedicate a whole episode to the original bulky box emblazoned with an X and it's predecessors. Matt shares 15 facts about the original Xbox and both he and Tom narrow down their top 5 Xbox games. After the Majora's Mask HIT-POINTS special, Matt and Tom unwind with a chat about the Nintendo Switch and it's aversion to aquariums, as well as it's tasty gaming cards. Pokemon Go rises from the grave and Tom does a pretty great Yogi Bear impersonation. Whimsy all round!

Matt and Tom discuss The Legend of Zelda, Majora's Mask on their second HIT-POINTS episode for 2017. Things get suitably dark, deep and weird. Tingle gets a mention as does the old lady who runs the bomb shop, who somehow manages to get a name drop every 2 minutes...
