Aroldis Chapman allowed three runs in the 8th and David Bednar gave up five runs in the 9th. Isaac Seumalo is reportedly out for a month after sustaining a pec injury in practice.

Hour 2 with Joe Starkey and Paul Zeise: We hear what Derek Shelton said about the Pirates' disastrous 14-10 loss to Chicago. Shelton sounded as mad as maybe he's ever been as Pirates manager. Kevin Crews of Crews BBQ joined the show. Rib Fest is going on down at the North Shore beginning today. College Football picks for Pitt, Penn State, and West Virginia.

It's one of the worst losses John has seen in a while, but the 1992 will always be the worst. John had some fascinating things to say about how Shelton and Cherington will be back. Chris thinks Nate Yarnell and Eli Holstein are in a close battle to be the starting QB and Holstein has closed the gap in the last few weeks.
