What do you work on more? Are you learning to trust God more or are you trying to take more control? Another way to ask this is, “Do you feel like your life is simple or do you feel like it has become so complicated?” Today is all about living simply.

Today we are going to talk about what it means to be a peacemaker, rather than a peacekeeper. There is a huge difference between the two!

We are going to talk about serving others today. The mission is a huge part of being a follower of Jesus, serving others as Jesus did. Living as Jesus lived… but there are some very important things to learn as we live as he lived.

Why is community, why are relationships, so hard? Jesus teaches that there are two ways to enter into the communities you live in.

Have you ever really thought about what it truly means to be a follower of Jesus? We are going to look at what it really means to follow Jesus. There may be nothing more important, more life changing, and there might not be anything more impossible for you to do on your own!

What is worship? Is it just something we do Sunday mornings? Pastor Sam explains to us that it is much more than that. Worship is a lifestyle where your focus on God allows you to walk through the difficulties of life with a different kind of strength. It’s a lifestyle of living in gratefulness for all that He is doing.

Jesus taught that if we do life with God, if we stay connected to God, He will produce fruit in our lives like love, joy and peace. However, if we decide to be disconnected from God, we can’t produce anything that will last. We all need to learn from wisdom!

We want to share with you the first and greatest truth... We couldn’t start this year in a better way! This truth is available to everyone. It’s free. It can transform your life. When this truth transforms your heart it changes how you deal with God and everyone in your life. Here it is: We are incapable of being the people we want to be, so God did it for us. It’s called grace.

This week we are going to talk about joy in the church. There are a lot of people who complain about the church they attend, while others are finding joy by jumping into the mess, and building the church instead.

I think we could all agree that Joshua was an incredible leader. But he wasn’t great because of his own strength. Joshua was an amazing leader because of his relationship with God. He allowed God to lead, and he followed. His relationship with God made him who he was. Joy can be found in your home when God is front and center in your home.

As we enter into our new series, we want to look at Biblical joy. Many people confuse happiness and joy in our lives. Pastor Sam is going to explain the importance and difference between the two.
