Emily is now at the helm of this third-generation family-owned business. Powell's celebrates their 50th anniversary next year.

Mt Hood Meadows is one of only a handful of ski areas in the U.S. that have operated for 50 years under the same ownership and are still privately owned.

By 2007, it was the third largest organized bicycle tour in the world.
