Eastern Lariat

As the G1 Climax rolls on the Eastern Lariat crew shows no fatigue whatsoever and looks back at nights 6, 7 and 8 of New Japan's big summer tournament. In addition to that STRIGGA & Dylan also discuss the current group of Young Lions.

STRIGGA & Dylan return with their takes on nights 4 & 5 of the G1 Climax as the tournament rolled on over the weekend. They also take it beyond New Japan Pro Wrestling and talked about Dragon Gate's Kobe Pro-Wrestling Festival as well as DDT's Road to Ryogoku event and the Ryogoku card for August 20.

In an all new Eastern Lariat episode STRIGGA & Dylan go in depth on the 2nd & 3rd night of the G1 Climax from the world famous Korakuen Hall including contrary opinions on Kenny Omega vs. MInoru Suzuki.

One day after the public holiday Umi no Hi (Ocean/Sea Day) STRIGGA & Dylan take a look at two major shows that took place on this Japanese national holiday: The opening day of the 27th G1 Climax tournament as well as Big Japan Pro Wrestling's Ryogokutan event from Sumo Hall. After some controversial opinions on some of the matches and competitors on those shows they also talk about Satoshi Kojima's return to All Japan Pro Wrestling for at least one match and the near future for All Japan.

STRIGGA & Dylan return with 90 minutes full of news, notes, reviews and opinions on the world of japanese pro-wrestling starting with recent and future events in New Japan Pro Wrestling including the G1 in USA Specials and a quick look at the G1 Climax undercards. From here the two use Yuji Nagata's proposal of a new Young Lions Cup for a comparison of the rookie systems in New Japan and DDT while also looking at the summer in Dramatic Dream Team. After discussing Dragon Gate's King of Gate tournament and the Kobe World Hall card the dynamic duo also gives their opinion on Big Japan's Sumo Hall event. This week's Eastern Lariat starts with a major update on Katsuyori Shibata's condition. From there STRIGGA & Dylan first talk about the participants in the 27th G1 Cllimax by New Japan Pro Wrestling before they focus on NOAH & All Japan in May and June including some great matches. Other topics include Atonio Inoki vs. IGF, NEW's June Korakuen Hall show and Stardom. 

STRIGGA & Dylan don't take a break this time because with Dominio in Osaka-jo Hall New Japan Pro Wrestling presented a stacked card full of incredible matches and many interesting developments so the Eastern Lariat crew sat down and discussed the stories that were told both inside and outside the ring. With Kizuna Road starting and New Japan's American expansion being imminent the two also talk about upcoming shows in June and July.

While celebrating their 50th episode STRIGGA & Dylan look back at the 24th Best of the Super Junior tournament that saw an outstanding final as well as some other great matches. The two name their favorite matches, rank their top 3 performers and discuss the best and not so good elements of New Japan's annual Junior heavyweight tournament that every year sets the stage for Dominion. This episode of the Eastern Lariat revolves around the past, present and future of japanese pro-wrestling as STRIGGA & Dylan first answer a question about the American expansion of New Japan and how they would approach it. From there they go through K-DOJO, Guts World, Big Japan, All Japan and their most recent events including TAKA Michinoku vs. Kota Ibushi, Dick Togo vs. Yuko Miyamoto and Kento Miyahara losing the Triple Crown after 464 days. The Eastern Lariat rolls on through Golden Week as STRIGGA & Dylan present a new episode in which they talk about the All Japan Champion Carnival finals and extensively cover Big Japan's Endless Survivor show that featured a fantastic match between Hideki Suzuki and Yuji Okabayashi. They also take a look at the 60 minute draw between Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo in DDT, cover other groups running in and around Golden Week like WRESTLE-1, Pro Wrestling NOAH, ZERO1, Michinoku Pro, Guts World and K-DOJO and discuss the possibility of a new Young Lions Cup in New Japan.

In a new episode of the Eastern Lariat podcast STRIGGA & Dylan take a look at New Japan Pro Wrestling's big shows on the road to Wrestling Dontaku with a fabulous Tetsuya Naito vs. Juice Robinson match and also discuss the top matches of Wresting Dontaku and the upcoming Best of the Super Junior. They also dive deep into All Japan's Champion Carnival tournament and briefly recap Stardom's Cinderella Tournament.

STRIGGA & Dylan open this week's episode of the Eastern Lariat podcast by talking about the medical conditions of Katsuyori Shibata, Akebono and OKUMURA and the reporting about these situations.
