It's a Halloween fright fest full of spooks and scares! But mostly full of film and literature critiques. The boys talk about movies that actually scare them. Lucas is gearing up to write a novel. Nathan is adjusting to being a pub trivia host. We all feel old going to punk shows. It's BONE CHILLING!

Howell Dawdy is here to help us with this New York Times Crossword puzzle this week! Comedian C. Charles visits the show this week, and brings the boys a special gift from South Korea! We solve a tricky non-rhyming New York Times Crossword puzzle, Lucas explains how Shrek influenced his wardrobe, C. Charles has extremely specific opinions on couches, and Nathan talks about his experience with the movie Hellraiser.

We got the smooth sounds of Rob Montage of Waxeater fame, but this ain't the Gin and Tacos mailbag. It's an all new On the Cross! When Rob isn't rocking and/or rolling, he's a pretty funny comedian, and when he isn't doing that, he's helping the boys solve the New York Times crossword puzzle. (Okay sometimes he's also teaching.) Nathan goes on a fancy date at Chili's, Rob has beef with Yu-Gi-Oh, and Lucas serves up a delicious mole sauce for dogs. Comedian Danny Hucks drops by the Devil Heaven studio to solve the New York Times crossword puzzle, as well as discuss important matters like how to conceal scrotum warts, Brisco County Junior, wrestling, animals that go “pop”, the sin of villainy, the saw movies, and Nathan shares the story about the time he met a real robot.

It's another exciting installment of On the Cross: NIGHTS!, where we revisit classic episodes to pull back the curtain and show you how the sausage gets made. And boy oh boy sometimes the sausage is long and gross. Fans might recall our March 20th episode "Desert Island Bean with Mandee McKelvey and Tyler Gooch", wherein we joked at length about how long we had been recording. Well that particular recording session went on for over four hours and while we had to edit down the content to a listenable episode there was one conversation that stood out as being almost good (or bad) enough to be it's own episode. We’re back! Comedian Melissa Doran joins Lucas and Nathan in the studio this week for a quick jaunt through the New York Times Crossword Puzzle, and a real authentic New Jersey conversation about pizza and fighting. There’s some stuff in here about midwifery, accidents at the blood bank, and we settle once and for all what the worst addiction is.

It’s a Father’s Day double feature here at On The Cross! Lucas and Nathan’s sons sit in on a New York Times crossword puzzle, and discuss everything from spray tanning to scab eating, saying dagnabbit to emus in the military, and the Ernest P. Worrel personality type test.

In the second round of our Father’s Day celebration our darling daughters join us in the studio, and they’ve got some words for us. Mostly cuss words. There’s also venom pants, we learn about the name of Death’s horse, someone gets called a chicken shit, and there’s an apocalypse of dads, and we clear the air about some sassy kids from school.

Comedian Katlin McFee went to the same high school as Lucas, albeit nearly two decades later. They still find plenty to talk about as they try to solve a "kids" themed crossword puzzle from the New York Times app.  We talk car talk talk, church gossip, who's worse than sex offenders, chill demons, and worm dough.
