Elijah was instructed by the LORD to "hide" himself at the Brook Cherith (See 1 Kings 17:1). The word hide can also be translated as the "secret place.” While Elijah was in Cherith, he was in the precise location where he needed to be. All external influences that potentially could distract from intimacy with God had been removed. Unencumbered, Elijah could now pursue the presence of God resulting in him being empowered by the Spirit of God to move forward and prosper in the next season of his life and ministry.

The gospel has the power to heal our emotions, restore our minds, purify our affections, and bring our will into subjection to Christ.

Christ Jesus died not to make us comfortable in life, but rather to conform us to His image and likeness (See Romans 8:29). It has always been the intention of God to raise up a people that manifest the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ wherever they go (See 2 Corinthians 2:14).

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). God has a purpose for all of His people and in this message Ps. Glenn Bleakney elaborates on how to walk into that purpose that God has for us through His Holy Spirit. Coopering with the journey is just as important as the arriving at the destination.
