A weekly podcast chronicling one man's geeky conversations with comic book creators, musicians & more!

Episodes

  • Episode 12: Male-stique

    06/05/2015 Duration: 01h27min

When you think about it, comic books and pro-wrestling aren't so different. To further explain why is today's special guest Pat McDermott, the host of the Club Kayfabe podcast. Together, he and Adrian cover a plethora of topics including CM Punk's transition from wrestler to comic book writer, Brock Lesnar as the real-life Incredible Hulk, the hilarity/awfulness of the G.I. Joe film franchise and the promise of a Ninja Turtles movie that might not suck...as much. There's so much awesomeness in this episode. Enjoy!

  • Minisode 3: Sympathy For The (Dare)Devil

    28/04/2015 Duration: 27min

Nothing puts a damper on podcasting like an injury, but I shall press on in the form of a brand-new minisode! Since everyone else has been reviewing Daredevil (that and I'm waiting until I can book a fun guest for that) I've decided to talk about how the series' success could affect future comic book TV shows. Additionally, I also get into the spoilers found in the absurd press junket for Avengers Age of Ultron, "dark" storytelling and ask an age-old question: why are Batman and Superman so angry?

  • Minisode 2: Being X-Emplary

    09/04/2015 Duration: 25min

In the commotion of podcasting and real life I have unearthed the second installment of my "minisodes" recorded back in March that was never posted. Whoops! In this episode I explain my love of the X-Men franchise and how I feel like the core books have strayed a bit too far from its original mission statement. Since we're on the eve of the release of the Daredevil series on Netflix I get into more thoughts on a "grittier" Marvel universe. Enjoy!

  • Episode 11: It's Over 9000!

    08/04/2015 Duration: 01h04min

Why is Dragon Ball Z Kai considered blasphemy among DBZ purists? Why is Pokemon's Ash Ketchum the absolute worst person ever? Will Hollywood ever stop rebooting Spider-Man?! These are just a few of the tough questions Adrian hopes to answer with today's guest, comedian/writer/actress Maggie Mae Fish. Maggie chronicles her journey from a small Michigan town to Los Angeles and gives us an in-depth look at her new YouTube channel THOSEGUYS Magz & Meelz.

  • Episode 10: Star Jammers

    03/04/2015 Duration: 01h20min

Today's episode of Adrian Has Issues has badassery to spare! Writer/artist Moriah Hummer invites us to a world where roller derby and monster-bashing are all in a day's work in her new comic book series Flat Track Furies. Moriah explains the book's origins as well as it's mission to not only entertain but also empower its readers. In addition we discuss sexism in comic books, the love/hate relationship between fans and Joss Whedon and we even geek out a little bit over a love of bad movies and the Fast & The Furious franchise.

  • Episode 8: From Gatorade To Murder

    18/03/2015 Duration: 01h17min

It's time to lace up those skates once again! Ashley Burgy and Erica Ritter return for another episode filled with hockey talk---at least that was the plan before Adrian decided to spike his own bottles of Mountain Dew Code Red with Fireball whiskey. In between debates about the NHL playoffs, the episode takes several wacky left turns as the three hosts fall down a rabbit hole complete with conversations about Gatorade, Murderpedia and Animorphs. Plus, Ashley & Erica discover that Adrian knows way too much about the Power Rangers.

  • Episode 7: Fifty Shades of Neigh

    10/03/2015 Duration: 01h02min

In what can be considered a "sequel" of sorts to Episode 3, today's episode features Miguel Garza, the co-host of Comical Podcast. Miguel delves deeper into the bizarre origins of his alter-ego, "Lord Horseticleze," outlines his plans for the "Shovel My Shit Tour 2015" and sets Adrian straight after the latter breaks several "bathroom commandments." Justin Corbett makes an impromptu return to the show, occasionally dropping in to dispense a few nuggets of geeky wisdom! Our three heroes discuss Joker's possible immortality, Michelle Rodriguez's struggles with foot-in-mouth disease, Spider-Ham and more!

    03/03/2015 Duration: 49min

On this week's episode, Adrian stops by "The Barn" and for a one-on-one chat with Dags, one of the stars of the Amish Baby Machine podcast. After a brief discussion on the origins of "the most powerful podcast ever created," the hosts geek out over 80's music, legendary producers and lament the possible end of FM radio.
