  • Mindset for artists 4/5

    11/06/2020 Duration: 18min

I talk to Vicky Ross about how our personal history is the lens through which we see our future. Many artists I work with are moving into being full time artists and others are transitioning their careers. The problem I see over and over is that most artists are seeking visibility and success, but internally they hold themselves back while outwardly voicing their goals. In this episode Vicky talks about looking at our history through the successes we have had, even if they were not connected to their art. Then she talks about being present, and using the present as the starting point and asking what you would do differently if you had all the resources to achieve the things you wanted. In the present moment, we need to get very specific and clear about the things we want in the next 6-12 months.  She discusses that in each moment we are capable of changing our thoughts and the future we would like for ourselves. Vicky goes on to discuss the thoughts that  can arise that do not serve us, and how to ask ourselves
