During the 9 days we have an extra sensitivity to sustainability because we don't buy new clothing, many of us don't do laundry or limit the laundry we do, and we are being extra careful with the things we own. This week we talk about how to talk to our kids about sustainability (hint- a lot), why we should, and the relationship between being sustainable and having less with Jewish values. I would say it is one of my most frequently asked questions, and while I am not a parenting expert, I believe teaching kids anything comes down to being and example and practicing what we preach.
