This week I talk about the true cost of storing our possessions. One of my Conquer Your Clutter students told me that she has a storage unit, and I figured out that over time it would cost her around $6000. I was astounded, and felt like there were better ways to use the money. (She thought so also!) Besides for the money she was paying directly for the storage unit there were other costs associated with storing things, like the cost of storage containers, the time we spend organizing, sorting, and packing things up for storage, and the damage we do to the things that aren't stored properly because there is too much junk around.
