You might have a passion to write about certain topics and share them with others, but you have no idea who you are writing to. Maybe you didn't know that it is extremely important to write to a specific group of people.  In this episode I talk about the "criteria" for finding your ideal audience. Finding your audience can be pretty simple. Before writing a poem there should be an in depth understanding of who your poem is for. Uncertainty is a big issue when it comes to writing. Knowing the pains/struggles and deepest desires of our audience gives us clarity on which words, themes and stories to use within our poems. Competence can give you a lot of confidence when writing. We need to understand the sound and language of heaven. We pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven but If we don't know what heaven's perspective is, we can't partner with heaven.  Heaven is waiting for you to step up and be the skillful poet that God has called you to be.   There are a lot of great spoken word poets out there who inspire me but I have yet to find skillful poets who help others become skillful poets. The feeling of loneliness can be daunting. Having a heart to advance the kingdom as a skillful poet is awesome but if we don't have the tools to grow then we get nowhere. More people who are called need to be equipped to become Skillful Poets who spread the gospel.  This verse below call us to use the gifts/talents that God has given us for the benefits of other and For God's great name.  1 Peter 4:10-11  10 "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever.
