One of our Kingdom Builders partners taught us that Peter’s life models radical obedience that we can all embrace.

We have an inheritance of faith a judge that is a gift from God, enables us to follow the path he has for us, endures every test, and will be passed on to the next generation.

Noah models for us what it looks like to live a righteous life in an evil world. Through Christ, we live out this inheritance of righteousness in every part of our lives and every part of the world.

Our Guest Speaker, Bryan Webb challenged us to work by the power of the Holy Spirit to tell the story of Jesus to everyone, everywhere.

Every individual believer is called to Witness but every local body of believers (the church) has a mandate to be involved in witnessing together. A local churches community should be impacted positively by that local church. This weekend’s sermon by Chris Godfrey enforces those truths by encouraging our local church to continue to be salt and light to Tulsa and to accomplish that by being a Spirit filled Church.

Jesus loves sketchy people. He seeks them out, changes their lives, and then uses their sketchy stories for his glory.

Self Righteous people are the worst! But Jesus still has plans to confront them, change their lives, and show them what true righteousness looks like.

Jesus loves passionate people. God created us to love deeply, hold strong beliefs, and be guided by our passions. When sin corrupts our passions, Jesus doesn’t respond by removing our ability to be passionate. Rather, he redeems and redirects our passions for his purposes.

Jesus knows who we are, where we are, and what we are doing. No matter how shady or scandalous we might be, he calls us to come follow him.

The Resurrection of Jesus is the most amazing story. It’s not a story that we observe, but one we are invited to participate in. When the resurrection power of Jesus invades our lives, it turns our story into an amazing story that God uses to help discover the same experience of new life in Christ!

The gifts of the Holy Spirit enable the church to operate at full capacity. The enemy will try to use skepticism, intimidation, criticism, or bitterness to keep us from accepting our place in the body and using the gifts of the Spirit for the benefit of others.

When we follow Jesus he reveals a new path for us to follow moving forward. When he reveals that path we have a choice to either go away from Jesus obedient or disobedient. One choice leads to joy and life, the other the sadness and disappointment.

The Holy Spirit distributes gifts to each of us for our benefit and for the strength of the church. You can receive his gifts and share them with others.

Sometimes Jesus calls us to leave behind everything we know and follow him. At other times Jesus tells us to go home and tell everyone we know our story. If Jesus tells you to go home, embrace it as a privilege, not a punishment.

The Holy Spirit gives his gifts to believers to build each other up. This requires both our submission and our participation with the Spirit

Jesus shows up to disrupt the status quo and invite us into his kingdom. Each interruption creates a decision for us: invite him in, or kick him out.

The gifts of the Spirit are given to build up the church. This means we must understand them, embrace them, and utilize them.

Rubens Cunha leads Global Gospel Action, a ministry that utilizes creative evangelism methods to share the Gospel all over the world. Rubens reminded us that our love for Christ is the only proper motivation for everything that we do.
