In Mark 5:9-10 we see the compounding power of evil. When evil invades our lives, it spreads aggressively, reproduces quickly, and thoroughly corrupts our identity. Only Jesus can separate us from our sin, and the layers of destruction it brings to our lives. He replaces compounding evil, with compounding freedom.

Fear is a constant threat for every person. When we embrace a proper fear of Jesus, we see that he can set us free from all the smaller fears that hold us captive.

Mark 5:2-5 teaches us about the unmanageable nature of sin. Jesus shows up in our life to defeat in us what we can never defeat on our own. Through his power we are able to experience true freedom and do not have to settle for a frustrating life of sin management.

In Mark 5 Jesus goes to an unexpected place to bring freedom to an unlikely man. As we walk through this story, we’re learning that Jesus wants to unchain us from everything that holds us back. In this message we learn that Jesus invades the hard places in our lives to bring us freedom!

When we take our place in God's kingdom, He gives us the privilege of sharing the good life we have discovered with others!

When we follow Jesus he interrupts our plans to redirect us to his plan. The more we trust him, the more we are able to embrace interruptions as invitations from Jesus.

When Jesus commands us to use our lives to build His kingdom, it is an invitation to work hard. Thankfully the Holy Spirit is hard at work in us enabling us to work hard!

Kingdom builders are passionate people. When we experience the grace of Jesus, our natural response is a life passionately devoted to his kingdom.

At the beginning of each year we pause to make sure we are investing our time, energy, and resources to build God’s kingdom. In this message we explored our responsibility to receive from these who have gone before us and share with those coming after us.

This Sunday we heard from Philip Dow, Pastor Chris' younger brother who is Lead Pastor at Fossil Creek Church in Fort Worth. Philip spoke on Luke 2:41-52. This passage shows that if you want to remain close to Jesus then you must actively pursue Him.

When we make room for Jesus, he changes everything!

Sometimes God leads us to places we don’t want to go to accomplish His purposes. We can trust that wherever God leads us, He is present and is working His plan. We can embrace this space as a place of grace.

Joseph teaches us that obedience is essential to experiencing the fullness of life that Jesus offers.

The Holy Spirit is active all through the birth story of Jesus. Everything the Spirit does in the birth story, He still does in our lives today!

Through Kingdom Builders giving Christian Chapel supports over 50 missionaries and ministries working in 30 nations around the world. Stephen & Bailey Kuert are Kingdom Builders partners who are engaged in church planting efforts throughout Africa. Stephen gave us an update on how the kingdom is advancing through church planting and challenged us to continue doing all we can to make Jesus famous in our lives, our community, and all over the world.

When Jesus renews your mind, he also renews your speech! When you speak words of life, it builds you up and encourages the world around you.

If we want to win the war in our mind, we need to turn up the volume on the truth the Spirit speaks to us, and turn down everything else. In Ephesians 5:17-20 we learn what it looks like to maximize the right things, and minimize the wrong things.

Your thoughts create a soundtrack for your life. Romans 8 teaches us that the Holy Spirit gives us a soundtrack that leads to life and peace.

The Gospel works from the inside out. If you want to experience the new life Jesus offers, it starts by letting him transform your mind.
