New Gardendale football coach Chad Eads previews the upcoming season as he begins his journey as the Rockets' head coach.  Eads comes from Hoover where he spent 11 years as an assistant, winning six state titles.   He looks to bring that same success to Gardendale as the Rockets look to make the playoffs for the fifth year in a row in 6A Region 6.

Ramsay drops down to Class 5A just two years after winning the 6A State Championship.  Rams head coach Reuben Nelson looks to improve on last season and make another run at a state title. However, he will have to make it out of a region with fellow Birmingham city schools Wenonah (who made the 5A title game two years ago) and Parker (who is a playoff caliber team every year), and of course get past the #1 team in the state - Briarwood.

We talk with Hewitt-Trussville head football coach Josh Floyd about the upcoming season which sees two of the top recruits in the state take the field for the Huskies (QB Paul Tyson, OL Pierce Quick) and what the expectations are as the team moves into 7A Region 3 again after two years playing up north in Region 4.

Pickens County defeated South Lamar 41-28 to win their region title. Now the two meet again in Reform with Pickens County seeking a 2nd straight trip to the Super 7 while South Lamar aims to make their first state final in school history.
