At Christmas time, the line between the secular and sacred often becomes blurred in the minds of many Christians. This is especially true with music as Christmas carols and hymns are sung by both secular and Christian artists. A recent popular version of "Mary Did You Know" by a secular singing group has caused a stir and some controversy. Should it have? How arrogant we humans are! So often are we caught up in our expectations and schedules that we miss what's right in front of us. Our culture is full of double standards, some real, some perceived. There are many movements that are attempting to counter these standards, often with disastrous results. In logic class, we're told that "The Slippery Slope Argument" is a logical fallacy. Is that really the case? Consider, if we weren't on a slippery slope of ever increasing sexual immorality, would there actually be discussion on pedophilia being acceptable? One lie started it all.
