Listen to the popular messages and read the popular books. They will tell you that God wants to make you the best you you can be. Others tell you to be your true self. Is that really the point? Questions like, "Just because it's a good song does that mean it's worship?" and, "What makes a good worship song?" are being asked more frequently. Worse still, why do so many teach that the Lord doesn't discipline his Church? Manhood is in jeopardy! The myth of toxic masculinity is pushing men out to the edge more and more. The response in the younger generations is to go to one of two extremes that are for more toxic.
