We want to help in discerning how and where God might be calling potential planters to invest their life, whether it be church planting, site / campus pastoring, or pursuing additional training, education or healing. A number of people will feel stirred towards church planting and this workshop will help them to discern if this is what God is calling them towards. James and his wife, Jen, lead Vineyard Church Cardiff.  James oversees the Church Planting team.

It’s that we want something for them - a real freedom and profound joy that can’t be found any other way. But is anything we're doing actually making any difference? Or worse could it be that we sometimes accidentally discourage the very thing that we want to propagate? What does a generous church look like and how could we become one? Chuck Freeland has led Catalyst Vineyard in North East Scotland with his wife Taryn for 11 years. What would it take to love, serve and minister alongside the marginalised and vulnerable in our communities in ways that all our lives were enriched? How can we find the kind of compassion that draws others in rather than making people around us feel guilty? What if we could receive joy and freedom from our own brokenness as we partner with “the poor”? In this seminar, Alan explores some of these themes and looks at what it takes to build the kind of ministries and church communities that release the contagious, compassionate heart of Jesus. Alan, and his wife Laurie, are Associate Pastors of Belfast City Vineyard and for the past 12 years they have helped establish and lead multiple compassion ministry environments. They are passionate about developing communities where everyone is treated with dignity, significance and hope. This workshop was put on for churches who are interested in or considering multisite as a way of multiplying the church in their context. There is no one way to do multisite and during this seminar, Steve & Tammy explored some different models and leadership structures and talked about some of the lessons learnt in transitioning a church in this direction. Steve & Tammy lead the Central Vineyard, a church gathering in four different locations across Northamptonshire. They also serve as the Regional Leaders for the Midlands and the North. The future of the church is every Tribe and Tongue gathered together around the throne of Jesus. Demographic data shows the UK becoming increasingly ethnically diverse. This moment feels like a Holy Spirit invitation to actively push into a more diverse, multi-coloured church which will both enrich us and will better demonstrate the coming Kingdom. In this seminar, we hear from Brazilian, Nigerian and Sri Lankan leaders from within Croydon Vineyard who share honestly about what has and hasn't helped them step up into leadership.  Tom & Lesley Thompson planted Croydon Vineyard Church 6 years ago into a highly diverse city. Much to their surprise they now have a congregation and a leadership community which are 40% non-white.  This seminar was recorded in January 2020 at the Vineyard National Leaders' Conference.

Do you find it hard to share Jesus with people? In this insight, Brian reminds us with the words of Jesus; that we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on us. We cannot do this in our own strength but by his empowerment! We just have to be prepared to step out and take risks.

Philosopher Dallas Willard once said 'hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day'. John Mark Comer unpacks why he believes this to be true, reminding us that hurry robs us of being present and Christian spirituality is all about being present to God and to our own souls.

In the Vineyard we believe that God loves to speak to us and that we can receive his direction for ourselves and for others through prophetic words. In this insight, Katia speaks on how the prophetic is not fatalistic, in other words, in order for a prophetic word to come to pass, it must be weighed and engaged with. She shares the importance of pastoring people through receiving and engaging with the prophetic.

How can we teach kids how to pray? In this insight Dave shares his journey; that he simply taught kids what was going on in his heart using the Biblical blessing from Numbers 6:24-26, encouraging them to pray it everyday over themselves, their friends, and even strangers.

In this insight, John Mark Comer shares from the scriptures to help him demonstrate how abiding in the vine (Jesus) leads to bearing much fruit such as love, joy and peace.  He talks about the role of maintaining spiritual rhythms in helping us to keep in step with the Spirit and become proactive leaders.

How do we stay mentally healthy and avoid burnout? Dr Kate Middleton challenges us that when we're planning our diaries, rest should be the first thing we put in.

How to we de-stress? Dr Kate Middleton talks on the importance of our responses in the acute moments following a stressful situation, as well as the rhythms we live by to keep our stress baselines low.

Eleanor Mumford shares with us an inspiring message on Pentecost Sunday, looking at what happened on that special day and how it has forever changed us.

"Stop making assumptions that people know how to read their bible; know how to rest; know how to fast; know how to pray; and give people a Biblical theology for it."  John Mark Comer addresses church leaders and shares his wisdom on how we can lead people into spiritual rhythms and practices. He stresses the importance of 'baby steps' - giving people concrete, easy, accessible practices which will slowly work into their muscle memory.
