Like the lady said..."We're so excited!" First off, this is another milestone with episode 700!! Plus, we recently experienced a night of firsts at the recent Manitoba Metalfest. It was the first time the legendary Exciter played our neck of the woods. It was the first time we've seen the classic line up live. And finally, it was the first time we had the good fortune of getting drummer/vox Dan Beetler onto our interview hotseat. The Metal World recently lost two important figures named Johnny. Mr. Johnny "Z" Zuzula was the founder/owner of the mighty Megaforce Records. The upstart label released a number of excellent albums that helped shape us as fans of our beloved genre. We also lost actor Howard Hessemen. For our more mature listeners, Hessemen will be best known as "Doctor" Johnny Fever on the awesome "WKRP In Cincinnati" sitcom aired from '78-'82. The Doctor was a major influence on the creation of Radioactive Metal. So this week we thought it would be best to pay tribute to these Johnnies. First with discussing some of our fave Megaforce albums/songs. As well, we reminisce some of our fave episodes/moments on the mighty "...K.R.P."
