    17/11/2022 Duration: 02h45min

The Bay Strikes Back tour has struck. Testament and Death Angel were awesome as always. But this time 'round it was the mighty Exodus selling the show for us. So while we're still riding the musical high of finally seeing Zetro live for the first time, we decided to give the Toxic Quintet the spotlight treatment. We enlisted the Exodus expertise of one Matt Copper, co host of our sister show "Wrestling Night In Canada". Mr. Copper is a huge Exodus fan and was stoked to talk. We go over some  our fave albums, songs, live experiences and our own interactions with the thrash legends. This is required listening for all Exodus fans. • Episode 722: In Jello We Trust - tribute to D.H. Peligro

    11/11/2022 Duration: 02h32min

Recently we lost one of the all time greats in Dead Kennedys drummer D.H. Peligro. This loss was particularly tough as our DK fandom goes back to the band's glory years while we are still in high school. We discovered Jello and the boys along with RAM alum Mark Buell. Mr. Buell is one of the minds behind Connect Humanity, an organization dedicated to bringing the internet to isolated Indigenous areas. And an original Gen X punk rocker. Mark joined us for the episode commemorating the late, great Neil Peart (Rush). But the next time we have him on it will be under better circumstances. We discussed all things DKs. When/how we discovered them, our fave albums and songs, and reminisced about old times. In our "News, Views and Tunes", we hit up the Manitoba Comic Con and local hardcore legends Crown Of Thorns' last gig. Musically we crank some DKs, Autopsy, Government Issue, Black Anvil, R.A.M.B.O., and Konquest. Horns Up and Stay Healthy! This Episode is sponsored by Trve Kvlt Coffee. Summon the coffee demons to

    21/10/2022 Duration: 02h10min

Happy Bday to us!! This week's episode marks the 16th anniversary of Radioactive Metal being on the air. RAM's humble beginnings were two dedicated Metalheads goofing around in the basement. All at a time when podcasts were barely a thing. Now all these years later and...nothing's changed. We're still luvin' what we're doing on a weekly basis. So to celebrate we let our hair down, had a couple adult bevies and shot the shite'. We discussed the "Dio: Dreamers Never Die" doc, Werewolf By Night, blink-182 tix, Scooby Doo, The Crow reboot and the "Hollywood Ugly" concept. Musically, we crank new and used from Xentrix, Sword, The Exploited, Ghoul, Imprecation, Larkin Poe and Melted Bodies. Horns Up and Stay Healthy! This Episode is sponsored by Trve Kvlt Coffee. • Episode 719: Raisin’ Hell - ”Hellraiser” Watch Along

    14/10/2022 Duration: 02h06min

Heavy Metal has always had a strong connection and relationship to the wonderful world of Horror. The #1 topic of discussion amongst Horror conisseurs is the new "Hellraiser" adaptation on Hulu. It's already proving to be a divisive little flick. But what is certain is the impact that the Hellraiser franchise has had on the Metal world. The third installment "Hellraiser 3: Hell On Earth" produced not one but two versions of the theme song by two of the biggest names in our genre. So in honour of the new flick, we sat down with both the Motorhead and Ozzy versions in a "watch along" to compare and pick a fave. In our "News, Views and Tunes", we discuss the up coming Metallica/Raven tribute to Johnny and Marsha Zazula a.k.a Megaforce Records. Musically, we crank some new + used from Raven, Psycroptic, Mortician, Spellbook, Riot City, Ritual Dictates and introduce Upon Your Grave in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns Up and Stay Healthy! • Episode 718: One Big Fix - Tribute To Piledriver

    30/09/2022 Duration: 02h22min

We had a jam packed week! Jammed enough that we felt it was best to just dedicate the bulk of the show to basically being one big "Metal Fix". More importantly though, we lost one of the all time greats in The Exalted Piledriver. We were huge Piley fans from the get-go and late in his life considered him a friend. So we pay tribute to this great man and crank some key tracks. In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we were super busy on the live front, took in the Rolling Stones "Unzipped" exhibit and gave adam levine a big FU! Musically, we crank new and used from the aforementioned Piledriver, D.R.I., KEN Mode, Zombi, Imperial Triumphant, Metalucifer, Vile Creature and Dogs With Jobs! Horns Up and Stay Healthy!! 23/09/2022 Duration: 01h41min

The #1 topic on the lips and minds of Metalheads right now is the new Megadeth album. The majority of the sentiment so far seems to be positive. A return to the glorious 80s Megadeth sound and swagger. So after giving "The Sick, The Dying...And The Dead" a few spins, we made our selves ready to give our thoughts. Our verdict...Sorry, no spoilers. In our "News, Views and Tunes", we crank some new and used from Manilla Road, Jag Panzer, Dead Kennedys, Driller Killer, Sonja, Skeletor, Cobra The Impaler and introduce Hell Diablo in our "Indie Spotlight"! • Episode 714: Momentous - interview with The Manitoba Loud Music Awards

    02/09/2022 Duration: 02h18min

As musical connoisseurs, the live front is where we're most at home. Live shows or concerts have some traditional moments that get us pumped and raise the hair on our necks. Right before we wreck them. There's a reason the audience erupts once the lights go down, for example. So we go a list of moments that make the concert experience so momentous. As well, we learn that we are nominated for "Ambassador Of The Year" in the Manitoba Loud Music Awards. So we felt it was appropriate to give a few moments to MLMA committee member Denny Ferguson to give us all the whys and wherefore behind these awards. In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we're stoked for the return of CREEM magazine and have a bit of 80s sitcom talk. Musically, we crank some new and used from Revocation, Besieged, Overdrive (Swe), Conflict (UK), Bewitched, Solanum and Slugcrust. Horns Up and Stay Healthy! • Episode 713: New and Used

    26/08/2022 Duration: 01h50min

When it comes to the live front, music of the tried and true has been outdrawing the new stuff for quite awhile now. But now "Classic" tunage has recently overtaken the new stuff at the sales counter too. So this week we do a deep dive investigation into the whys and wherefores and try to figure it all out. In our "News, Views, and Tunes",  we dissect a rather polarizing Alice Cooper quote and some crank tunage from Sigh, Bat, Critical Defiance, Mvll Crimes and introduce Lethbridge (!!) trad metallers Tyrants Of Chaos in our "Indie Spotlight". • Episode 712: Nuthin’ But A Number

    19/08/2022 Duration: 01h42min

"Time flies when you're having fun." That's an old adage we learned as young 'uns. But it gets more and more trve once you get to our age. A lot of key albums, band formations and significant events happened literally decades ago now. But honestly a lot of these seem like they happened just "a few years ago" now. Namely, the first minus Ozzy/Dio Sabbath album dropped 39 years ago. And the last new (material) from Razor came out 25 (!) years ago! Whew! Is that a gray hair??!! In our "News, Views and Tunes", we define "mandatory" with Metal and crank new and used from Grave Digger, Bloodfeast, Harlequin, Cirith Ungol, Resistance, and Volcano! Horns Up and Stay Healthy!! • Episode 711: Stoked, Chuffed, Dodgy, Etc

    12/08/2022 Duration: 01h58min

Who says Heavy Metal isn't educational??!! Yes, the lyrical content has delved into social and political issues over the years. But they've also had us listeners reaching for the dictionary and introduced a number of phrases and expressions. So this time 'round we share a (very condensed) list of said words and expressions that first came to our attention thru the Power of Metal! We're so "stoked"! In our "News, Views and Tunes", we hit the live front and crank new and used from Toxik, Bell Witch, (Scars Of) Atrophy and Hatriot. Halloween comes early as we introduced Montreal's The Occult in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns Up and Stay Healthy!!   This Episode is sponsored by Trve Kvlt Coffee. • Episode 710: Deth Redefining - interview with Detherous

    05/08/2022 Duration: 02h08min

Redefining Darkness recording artists Detherous recently returned to town. The tour was suppose to be in support of a brand new album. But alas... Undeterred, these good Canadian boys still killed it every night and were eager to chat. We caught up with vox/axe Damon MacDonald. We discussed the response to the previous "Hacked to Death" album and the not so glamorous life on the road. In our "News, Views and Tunes", we go into detail about the new Shudder exclusive documentary "This Is Gwar" and our first live exposure to "deathmatch" wrasslin'. Musically, we crank new + used from the aforementioned Detherous, Castrator, Gwar, Blood, Oxygen Destroyer, Battlegrave, Funeral Chic, Tortured Saint, Death Piggy and introduce Canadian modern metallers My Hollow in our "Indie Spotlight". • Episode 709: The Pantera Panic

    28/07/2022 Duration: 02h22min

The Numero Uno topic of discussion on every Metalhead's mind right now is the controversial issue of the Pantera reunion. It seems to be a very polarizing issue. One side is claiming "No Brothers, No Pantera". While the other is looking forward to it. So we decided to go over all the ifs, ands or buts. Which includes if this is a "tribute" act or not and the participation of Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. Also, following up on last episode, The Satanic Panic seems to be alive and well. RAM alum Casket Robbery were taken to task by a Tennessee church. Where's Geraldo? In our "News, Views and Tunes", we discuss Alice Cooper swapping axe persons and crank new and used from CroMags, Necrophagia, Wake, Nicolaus Cage Fighter, the aforementioned Casket Robbery, Dead Head, Hulder and introduce Cleveland's Asault in our "Indie Spotlight". • Episode 708: Stranger Things Visited

    22/07/2022 Duration: 01h46min

Season 4 of the Netflix series "Stranger Things" had The Metal World captivated. Our beloved genre played such a key part in key character's character and in memorable sequences. So we knew we had to focus some major attention towards it. Besides, we're the original Eddie Munson! We discussed how we related to the time period, "The Satanic Panic" backdrop and which songs would bring us out of the Upside Down. *Spoiler Alert*Spoiler Alert! In our "News, Views and Tunes", we crank some new + used from Angel Witch, The Exploited, Bitches Sin, Faithful Breath, Death Whore and introduce Winnipeg punkers The Strange Things (!!) in our "Indie Spotlight". • Episode 707: Howling At The Moon - interview with Deadwolff

    15/07/2022 Duration: 01h47min

Now here's an outfit that makes us howl! T.O.'s Deadwolff impressed us last year when their self titled EP came across our desk. The 'Wolff are a cool Canadian trio heavily influenced by the early 80s HR/NWOBHM with a modern flare. So when they recently came through town we jumped at the opportunity to turn a Wednesday night into a Saturday night! We sat down with the entire pack and go over the whys and wherefores behind the howl. In our "News, Views and Tunes", we go over the Vince Neil teleprompter "controversy". Musically, we crank some Deadwolff + new and used from Savage Master, Witchfynde, Werewolves, Molder, Temple of Void, 30 Immolated; 16 Returned and we introduce Vancouver's Thirteen Goats in our "Indie Spotlight". • Episode 706: We’re A Canadian Band

    08/07/2022 Duration: 02h13min

As we pressed "record" on this episode, it was July 1st. Or Canada Day. Unfortunately, with the events of this year we haven't been feeling very patriotic. But all the awesome music produced in the Great White North is always reason to celebrate. So we decided to grab a stack of Canuck wax, pour a couple drinks and shoot the shit. In other words, celebrate RAM-style. We discussed a Sacrifice/Slaughter FB battle thread we created, a Vancouver radio station playing RATM on loop, Vince Neil's goofy "satanic" quote and we test each other's Metal. Musically, we crank some new and used from the aforementioned Sacrifice and Slaughter, Blasphemy, Get The Shot, Forgotten Rebels, Death Sentence, DBC, Soothsayer, Electro Quarterstaff, CiDB, and Primordial Serpent! Day Glo Abortions are no strangers to RAM. Vox/Axeman Murray The Cretin has graced us with his presence so often now we should just set up a cot beside our recording mic. • Episode 704: Untombed - interview with Tombs

    24/06/2022 Duration: 02h43min

It almost feels like Halloween in June around here. You can't help but feel that way in the prescence of Micheal Hill, he of Tombs fame. The Season of Mist recording artist had a recent stop with Origin and Abysmal Dawn. We were eager to talk to Mr. Hill as we have more than just good music in common. We discussed the new "Ex Oblivion" EP, finding their home with Seasons and his love of all things horror. Currently, the Rolling Stones rock n roll exhibit "Unzipped" is in town. So in our "News, Views and Tunes" we discuss the artists we'd like to see get the same treatment.
