Dems Fight Over Abortion, A Response | The Mark Harrington Show | 6-27-19   During the Democratic Presidential debate, the Dems fought over who is more pro-abortion demonstrating a kind of one-upmanship among the candidates.   In this episode of The Mark Harrington Show, Mark responds to each of the candidate’s pro-abortion talking points. Especially the comments of Julian Castro, who said that “trans-females” should have the right to tax-funded abortions.  Say what?  To say the Democratic Presidential field is crowded is an understatement. Apparently, most Americans don’t even know who half of the candidates are.  On the light side, during the debate I kept thinking that maybe the debate selection committee simply grabbed random people from the audience to debate. Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn | The Mark Harrington Show | 6-20-19   President Trump says that candidates that support sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants should be disqualified from running for president What about candidates who support creating sanctuary cities for the unborn? Recently, the city of Waskom, TX took a stand against abortion as the city council unanimously adopted a resolution and an ordinance in support of Waskom becoming Texas’ first “sanctuary city for the unborn.” Read more here: https://bit.ly/2ZzYBn2 With the passage of the Heartbeat Bill in Louisiana, Waskom is concerned that Louisiana women will cross the border to seek to procure abortions in Texas. Just recently, LiveAction.org was put on a “pornography” blocklist on Pinterest in an effort to suppress their pro-life content from being shared on the platform. Pinterst wrote, “We don’t allow harmful misinformation on Pinterest. That includes medical misinformation and conspiracies that turn individuals and facilities into targets for harassment and violence.” Created Equal has also had our information referred to as “pornography.” In an abortion debate at the Purdue University, professor Dr. David Sanders in May 2017 referred to victim images of abortion as child pornography. Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed into law the strongest pro-life bill in the country, making almost all abortions illegal in the Yellowhammer state. The Alabama Human Life Protection Act (HB 314) bans abortion for any reason other than to “avert (a mother’s) death or to avert serious risk of substantial physical impairment of a major bodily function.” Performing an abortion would become a Class C felony, punishing abortionists with up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $15,000. Unlike legislation introduced in Texas, this bill would not hold the woman criminally culpable or civilly liable for committing the abortion. National Right to Life says, "It goes too far." Dismembering America| The Mark Harrington Show | 5-2-19   A Michigan House committee approved two bills recently to ban dismemberment abortions that tear nearly fully formed unborn babies limb from limb while their hearts are still beating. If approved by state lawmakers, the bills would add dismemberment abortions to the current state ban on partial-birth abortions. Pro-abortion Democrats serving on Michigan’s Families, Children, and Seniors committee were speechless after veteran pro-life activist Dr. Monica Miller gave an impassioned testimony against dismemberment abortion at the state capitol. Dismemberment displayed. During her four-minute-long remarks, Miller, the founder of Citizens for a Pro-life Society, told lawmakers about how she retrieved dismembered babies from a dumpster behind an abortion clinic on the state’s east side. These children “died a most horrific, torture method of extermination,” she said. To “dismember the unborn means that we actually dismember them from the human family.

Ohio Heartbeat Bill Passes, Signed by Governor | The Mark Harrington Show | 4-11-19 Ohio’s Heartbeat Bill has been signed by Gov. Mike DeWine.  With more restrictions added by the Ohio Senate last week, the bill (SB 23) was sent to the Ohio House on Wednesday, where it passed 56-39 also clearing the Ohio Senate 18-13. The law bans abortion at the detection of a fetal heartbeat. SB 23 grants no exceptions in cases of rape or incest, and recently added a statute that would encourage the use of a transvaginal ultrasound, which can often detect a fetal heartbeat earlier than an external exam. SB 23, the third Heartbeat Bill to be proposed in as many years, is part of a larger strategy to get the abortion debate back in front of the Supreme Court and overturn Roe v.
