This week we’re getting bit by a spider (again), becoming a super-hero (again), and losing our uncles (again) all while watching 2018’s animated epic ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ at the demand of a patron. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a 2018 American computer-animated superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales / Spider-Man, produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is the first animated feature film in the Spider-Man franchise, and is set in a shared multiverse called the "Spider-Verse", which has alternate universes. Starship Troopers is a 1997 American satirical military science fiction action film directed by Paul Verhoeven and written by Edward Neumeier. It originally came from an unrelated script called Bug Hunt at Outpost Nine, but eventually licensed the name Starship Troopers from Robert A. Heinlein's 1959 science fiction novel. The story follows a young soldier named Johnny Rico and his exploits in the Mobile Infantry, a futuristic military unit. The film stars George MacKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth, and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film is based in part on an account told to Mendes by his paternal grandfather, Alfred Mendes.[6] It chronicles the story of two young British soldiers during World War I in the spring of 1917 who were given a mission to deliver a message. It warns of an ambush during a skirmish soon after the German retreat to the Hindenburg Line during Operation Alberich.
