Most people like stories. Some stories are 2 years old, 10 years old, 20 years old and so on. And when the story is told over and over from one person to another is subject to lots of changes. For example, If a particular story was told by 5 people, they may change the content, the characters, the names so maybe they are talking about India, you will discover that it was about Lebanon, they will also change the name from Ibrahim to Tony. A story changes over the years specially if it was old then there is a big chance of loosing its true info and actual facts. If your grandmother tells you a story her grandma told her, trust me, the story will not be the same. People tend to fix and change and colorize stories and this is typical human nature. Take care! You take care. A phrase that we hear all day long. Our friends say it: "Good bye, take care!" They ask us to take care of ourselves but in reality, we know that no one can TAKE CARE of himself 100%. Yes, we care about our bodies for example that's why we exercise and eat healthy food but lots of people died, lost their loved ones, cars, houses, etc,... trying to take care of themselves. So my question is: "How can I be sure that someone would take care of me and protect me?" and the answer is found in 1 Peter 5:7 [Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.] so if God wants to take The Care why do I have to take it on myself. Let him take it all since He got the power to do that. He is always ready to help you and present 24/7. God is not bound by time or location and He has millions of angels to send and help us out and take care of us. So my "taking" care is soooo little and small comparing to God's taking care of me. Two days ago, I entered the kitchen to have my breakfast. I had one man'oushe zaatar in the fridge and I reheated it in the microwave since it's faster than the oven. After 40 seconds, I discovered that I was wrong and hoped I ate it cold. Immediately I recalled one incident happened two years back when we were in Dbayeh. I decided to grow a mint in a pot and I placed it on the balcony. I checked it after 2 weeks to find that it was black and no leaves so logically I assumed it's dead. Two days later, I decided to go out and throw it and was surprise to find it alive with green sprouts all around, and of course I didn't throw it away. This was a small mint and it's insignificant but sometimes we throw priceless stuff like our friends, dreams, relatives just because they seemed dead to us. I want to tell you about my son who loooooves toys until that turned to be a problem. If we were in a particular shop, and we bought him a toy after exactly 5-6 minutes he will ask for a new one. We felt that this should be resolved and we have to deal with this problem. In one of my quite times, I prayed to the Holy Spirit to give us ideas and direction on how to deal with my child. Seven days ago, we wanted to have a family time - a special time. We put some happy music and start dancing, shouting and my 2 kids were jumping around, climbing on my back and I felt at that time something special has happened. Out of no where, my son said to me: “Dad, I’m happy”. Usually, I ask him whenever we go to parks or malls or visit some friends, if he is happy and he would say “yes” but this time was different, I think this is the first time he would say “I’m happy” on his own. Two days ago, my son was happy, running allover the house, saying “I’m rich, I’m rich” and that’s because he got a sack full of coins. During launch time, we met our friends and he was excited sharing with them that he is rich and whenever they ask him why he is rich, he would tell them that he has got lots of money. He did that on many occasions till one day I spoke to him and said “ Dad, we are rich because we know Jesus and He knows us”. I didn’t know if he got it at that moment, he is 6 years old now. The other night, as he was speaking to his aunt in Canada via Viber, he said again: “you know what, I’m rich”, and they asked him: “Why you are rich”? but this time his answer was: “because of Jesus”. when I heard him I was surprised because kids don’t lie so if he wasn’t convinced, he would never say this answer. I didn’t tell him that you are not rich, but what I did is gave him the right definition of richness. I told him: “Money will go and finish, but Jesus will never finish”. I hope today’s message has
