We look at the things David did and did not do that had a lasting effect on the next generation.

A theological and practical understanding of limits is critical to our ability to love God, ourselves, and others over the long haul.

God wants to birth something new from our loss, but we must pay attention to our pain and be willing to meet Him in the process of grief to discover those treasures.

This will require exploring our family history and learning new behavior patterns in our church family. We have to go back in order to go forward!

It is not possible to have one without the other. In today’s message, the second mark we are looking at is following the crucified, not the Americanized, Jesus. Western church culture has caused us to seek the benefits of Jesus without the cross of Jesus. Healthy discipleship requires that we embrace the cross.

The keys to living under an open heaven are repentance and refining. Faithfulness to the tithes and offerings are an outflow of that repentant and refined heart!
