For the next several weeks, our messages will focus on what the church is to be like. Today, Pastor Marc Sharp discusses how the church should be a preaching church. But what does it mean to be “a preaching church”? As the people of God, we have two important functions: building up the body of Christ, and proclaiming the resurrected Lord to the lost world. Both of these happen through what can be called “preaching”. What is preaching? Who does it? Is it first and foremost an “inside the church” or an “outside the church” activity?

Listen in as Pastor Marc Sharp answers important questions submitted to him regarding the previous two messages about glorifying God in our physical body.

Human beings alone, in all creation, have the honor and dignity of being made in the “image” and “likeness” of God. The image has been corrupted and polluted by mankind’s fall into sin. If you are a believer, God has washed you, sanctified you, and justified you. He has given you the Holy Spirit to dwell inside of you, not to condemn you but to transform you back into the image of God, and to help you “flee sexual immorality” and “glorify God in your body”. Where are you broken sexually? Where have you failed to glorify God in your body and with your sexuality?

God created us in his image. After the fall, he showed us the perfect image of God in Christ. He redeemed us so that we could be restored to the image of God. He placed his Holy Spirit to dwell within us as a temple and to help us. He has purchased us at the high cost of his own blood. What should be our only response to all of this amazing, glorious, breath-taking truth?

In part 10 of our core beliefs series, Pastor Marc Sharp discusses the consummation of all things, including the physical and visible return of the Lord Jesus. His return will be glorious! The Bible teaches that King Jesus will remain visibly present, enthroned and available to his elect redeemed on a renewed planet earth for all eternity. Everything points to that moment. It is the moment of completion for the church’s mission of proclaiming the gospel to all nations.

In today's message, we continue looking at the core beliefs of NRLC, Part 9, as Pastor David Walt discusses the church, local and universal. Important questions will be answered, such as "What is the church?", "Who belongs to the church?", "What is the purpose of the church?", and "What does the church mean for us today?"

Today, we continue looking at the core beliefs of NRLC, Part 8, as Pastor Marc discusses the Kingdom of Heaven. The message of the kingdom is not just another message, but is THE message of Jesus! He instructed people on how to inherit the kingdom, on how to see the kingdom, and on how to enter the kingdom. So, is the kingdom something that has arrived, or that will arrive someday? We have been taking a look at the essential doctrines that govern our teachings. Today, in Part 7, we continue the application of these truths to our day-to-day existence as Pastor Marc discusses the gospel. The Greek word for “gospel” in the New Testament is euaggelion (yü-än-ge’-lē-on). The basic definition of the word is “good tidings” (or news). But what’s so good about this good news?

We have been taking a look at all of the essential doctrines that govern our teachings. Today, in Part 6, we’re moving into the application of these truths to our day-to-day existence. We begin with the Biblical doctrine of Regeneration.

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer in Christ as an abiding helper, teacher, guide and comforter. We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers for Christian witness and service, desiring to continually fill each believer and impart his supernatural gifts for the edification of the Body and the work of ministry in the world. We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit at work in the church of the first century are available today and are to be earnestly desired and practiced in an orderly manner; and that these gifts are essential in the mission of the Church in the world today.

Today, Pastor Marc Sharp continues the series about "What We Believe" by looking at what scripture says about God, the Father, the first person of the Trinity. The challenge this week is to distinguish the person of the Father within the Triune God when we see the terms “God” or “The Lord” in the Bible.

God is. He exists. He is real. He is the truth in all the universe. This means all life is God’s life, all creation is God’s creation, all truth is God’s truth; no life, creation or truth exists which he does not omnipotently observe and govern. We will be taking a week to look at each one of these because we want to know what we believe and why we believe it. We should be able to articulate what we believe (that’s not just the pastors job). Today, we begin by looking at what we believe about the Scriptures, or the Bible.

Today, Pastor Marc Sharp wraps up a 2 week mini-series called “The Ordinances of Christ”. Baptism was discussed in the first message. This week, in Part 2, Pastor Marc takes a look at communion, or the Lord’s supper (some congregations refer to it as the Eucharist) and lists six things that the Lord’s Supper should remind us of every time we gather to partake.

Today, on Father's Day 2018, Pastor Marc shares two fundamental things from the scriptures about being a dad. These two things will not answer every specific question about how to encourage, discipline, or inspire your kids, but without the foundation of these two things, your parenting will be difficult, with a decreased chance of success. They apply to all stages of fathering.

Later, in Part 2, Pastor Marc will take a look at communion, or the Lord’s supper. The visible sign of Baptism is water. The invisible grace which is at work in us is five-fold. Each of the five will be discussed.

The highest characterizing mark of believers should be the love that exists between them. What the watching world needs is a representation (re-presentation) of the living, breathing, loving, forgiving Christ. The Bible is very clear that for God, true love is always made evident by sacrifice.
